Did my Sunday long run on Monday do to having to work overtime. It was really cold 21 deg out there but I went out anf got it done. 2x800 then 1 mile TP run. Hit the pace really good for the intervals but the rest of the run I was trying to hold my HMP which is what the plan called for, but I was 10 sec slower per mile that what I was supposed to do.
did wednesday's workout today - waited for better weather. footing not great and having trouble reading garmin in the dark (it's my husband's and the readouts are set to his preferences as well... not ideal. Hopefully Santa baby has Garmin 405 under the tree for me.)
MS 3x1/2 mile 4:13/96%, 4:00/98%, 40:05/100% 1x1 mile 8:08/1:03%
possibly run test also off (see bike and brick thread) as my Z1 w/u was not 10:22 as per test, but 9:15 - I cannot run any slower. I tried.
Good Job Jane, I am to waiting on santa hopefully he got the memo and there is a brand new pair of Newtons this Christmas the newtons I have now are sad looking.
Santa Baby, put a garmin 405, new bike (cervelo P2) and newtons under the tree for me (and Bruce and Zach), been an awfully good girl, Santa Baby, so urry down the chimney tonight! (doing an eartha kitt shimmy and shrug)
So one of the things i've worried about in EN is ditching my running pals of 7 years. they aren't as fast as me, but could be, but they are older, retired and not so interested in going fast. I get it. I assumed they wouldn't want to do my quality runs (and was worried they couldn't keep up). But not so! I ran with 2 of the three today and apart from on laggard who is fine to be left behind, she catches up on the rests, it was great. will take a little tweaking, but i am glad I don't have to give up my friends. they loved today's work out.
Had a great run today. I haven't run much since IMLOU and have been struggling with the running portion of the OS so far. But I think today was my breakout run, really felt my running legs coming back around. Add to that, I was out on the trail after dark with my Petzl headlamp plowing through 5 inches of virgin snow so it was a pretty tough run. I was about 1/4 of the way through the second 800 when I felt like my legs caught their second wind and I sailed through the rest of the run and felt great.

Zach, my run was 3x800 and 1x1 mile. I know it adds up to the same distance but I want to make sure I'm doing the right workouts!
@ Mac which plan are you doing I am doing the Beginner Plan?

felt great!
Jane - can you put in a song to Santa for a new bike. I totaled mine in a crash in my last Oly tri.
I'm hoping Mrs Claus got the memo.
Jane - thanks. That should do with Santa.
