Holiday Run Challenge
Would this challenge take the place of the regularly prescribed OS training plan? Or, would I still bike, but just be adding a layer of running to the plan?
Thanks

From what I've picked up it's OS + whatatever extra you get done..............
Correct! The idea is to challenge yourself and motivate each other.
So I was trying to think of a goal number of miles, and then I got a better idea, just to make it interesting...
Patrick McCrann - I'm calling you OUT
: my miles vs. your ability to motivate. I'll run at least one mile for every member you get to participate. I'm thinking that "participate" means putting up at least one point in the spreadsheet (just signing up doesn't cut it). You get 100 people to participate, I'll run at least 101 miles. You get 110, I'll beat you with 111.
Full disclosure - my intention is to effectively suspend my OS training during this period - so while I'll probably do Tuesday bike rides, I probably won't spend any more time on the bike. Similarly, I plan on "banking" my Wednesday run numbers towards the challenge, not to the OS (I don't plan on doing 9 miles for OS work, and then an additional 13 that evening for the challenge).
Right now it looks like there are about 90 or so people who have joined the group (but less than thirty have put their name in the spreadsheet).
My game face is ON
. Patrick, what have you got?
Mike
I think it's a great idea Mike! If I do a 1 mile "run" on my crutches does that count as another mile you have to go
Since I can't participate this year, I have to someone have some fun with this
Matt - you do a mile on crutches and I'll do a mile to match you! And I just checked, and it looks like you were the first person to sign up in the spreadsheet! Way to go!
Game ON!
