High Cliff Roll Call
Who's in? 11 weeks to go.
I'm coming off transition and easing my way into the 12 week program. I'm doing my rides with a local group so there's not a lot of steady state riding. It's a hammer fest and I've gotten my ass handed to me a couple times already.. I'm going to do that until the end of the month when I'll do a 4 day big bike block. Oak park to Rockford, Rockford to Galena, Galena to Rockford, then one more ride at home. Hoping to get in 400 miles. I've been building volume to get ready for that. Did 77 miles on Saturday and 40 on Sunday. I've been swimming 2-3 times a week. 2x with masters and 1x by myself. Staying flexible with my schedule as much as possible though. Haven't been doing much running with intensity except for some strides. I may introduce some more next week. I'm also doing one long run per week of 10-14 miles or so.
Come May 2nd, I'm strictly on the program with my TT bike and my powermeter.

Like you I just wrapped up the NOS and am coming out of my transition week. Based on the timing and schedule I'm in week 2 of the HIM plan. Other than Memorial Day weekend I don't have any crazy biking planned but figure to get big enough of a bump from that to help the race.
We should figure out some other training days to meet up.
If everyone gets together for training weekends or even a day event, I would be intersted. Any training with others is welcome...
Are you guys doing anything prior to HC or will that be your first race of the year?
How about you?
I was planning on this being my first race but now am considering something earlier. Maybe Terre Haute on May 21st. I really like that race but it's a bit of a drive.
If you are and have raced there before, where do you recommend staying up there? I will be looking shortly and appreciate any input you can provide.
