Week 5 of the HIM plan or wherever u r......

 This am brings a 2900 yard swm and an hour run.  Swim are endurance ladders-500x2, 400x2, 300x2 then an hour with 5x800's.  

This week and half of next week are my fall back weeks so lets have fun and rest up also

  • @Carl - That workout looks a lot like the HIM Plan workout, not the rest week workout.... Gonna rest at all?

    I'm finally caught up and in the Week 5 of the HIM plan. Normally I would swim in the am and run at lunch, but I knew I wouldn't get out at lunch today. So, I ran in the am, then swam after work. My stomach is not used to PM training. Glad I kept it all down. At least the swim workout wasn't full of sprints.
  • Life has been getting in the way the past two weeks. Trying to get back on schedule this week. Ended up doing both workouts after work. Not ideal, but done.
  • This week looks like the REAL DEAL to me ! Plenty of volume AND FT testing tomorrow...but I'm going to deviate from the 2x20 a bit and go do the Lowes Motor Speedway TT Wed night. I've done this a number of times and its a blast. 7 laps around the track, 10 miles, wide open. My best time last year was 22:02, I'm really gunning for sub 22 tomorrow on the new Trek SC. Weather looks like there may be some wind, so I'll just put my nose on the PM and push as hard as I can. Should be fun ( when its over...)
  • I was off a week for sickness but was back in the game this morning. 14.1 miles in 1:41. Looking forward(?!?) to a big day on Saturday, though I'm still not sure if I can start it off with a swim or not.

    @william - that TT sounds like fun - how'd you do?
  • @Mark, It is fun, after you're done ! Didn't make time goal, made really good power...need to recheck position with Todd at TTBikeFit ! Nice run, I'm out to do mine in a bit.
  • 105 minute run today and all on the treadmill. Felt good for 95 minutes and then got lightheaded and just tired. I really need to dial in this nutrition. 13.4 miles in 1:45.........love it
