'Staches for the Doodes?
Gents,
I'm about 1.5wks into a sweet 'stache that I started at my camp in the mountains last week. Joanne isn't very jiggy with it...so you KNOW I gotta keep it now, through the race .
Anyone want to join me? Could be a fun little thing for the next 8wks and for race weekend!

My SO doesn't check the forums very often, so I really debated on not mentioning this to him. He'll take just about any opportunity to grow a 'stache. I'm not a huge fan, but put up with it through the Living History Farms Cross Country Race and Mustache March each year. I would think the extra facial hair would be annoying during the summer...
@Daniela, I didn't say I was enjoying it
. Not as itchy as a beard, I hate junk on my neck, and it's definitely...different...when you're riding and running and wiping off sweat. And I'm sure it doesnt' particularly look very good, but that's not really the point
for obvious reasons, I can't join the "fun."
hmm... I think a stache with the speedo (assuming you're still game to race in it... I remember that convo last Sept at Moo) would make you look like the perfect porn star or pimp daddy... quite a look!
Like Daniela, not really a fan - it's rare to find a guy who can pull facial hair, particularly a stache, off well...
Sometimes when I'm riding my bike for 4-5hrs I think it would be fun to race in the pink speedo. Then I consider the implication of riding a bike for 5hrs in a speedo with no chamois and I generally come to my senses. Same with running in the speedo. Fun, yes. 26 miles of fun...not so much. I also have to consider Joanne, my dad, sister, and 7yo twin niece and nephew at the race. Not sure I want to scar the lad like that
I'm sure there's an opportunity for a group pic with boyz and their speedos + 'staches during one of the practice swims.
Well, one thing I've learned is that I don't need 10wks to work on a groovy 'stache. I got game after only about two weeks. I'll keep it rolling through the IMWI camp, might shave it, then restart it ~3-4wks out from WI...or keep it rolling and look like Wyatt Earp on race day...
I think I'd need to start a stash NOW to have enough to be seen on race day in WI... I shave a good once a week whether I need to or not... TMI....
