Lodging for Fri/Sat of race weekend

Can anyone point me to lodging just outside of Madison for the Fri-Sat nights of race weekend?  My criteria: 

  • Away from large numbers of athletes.   
  • within easy 15-20 min drive to race site.
  • Quiet.

(I already have a room in town for the weekend, but the more I think about race week, the further I want to get from the 'action' in the days immediately before the race).

    I've often stayed at the Raddison when I'm in town. About 12-15' drive from start. Very good Thai restaraunt around the corner :-)

    I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza. It's about 15 minutes away on Washington, which takes you right into captial square. Nice place and easy to get a room. It is "in town" but away from the race.

    @ Dave - Do you have a preference at to which chain? There is a Mariott on the west side of Madison. A new Hampton Inn on the west side. Cambria Suites and a Residence Inn (has a kitchen) on the East side with a straight shot up E. Washington Ave. to the convention center.
