Who's RR'ing in Madison this weekend?

Wondering - who's all planning on doing race rehearsals this weekend in Madison?  I heard Great Dane tossed out as a possible gathering place for a lunch or dinner?

I'm planning on the bike/run RR on Friday and the MOWS on Saturday (maybe a loop of the bike as well).

I'm interested in Great Dane either Friday night or Saturday afternoon.  Anyone else?

    I'm not sure on MOWS though now. It seems pretty extreme to do MOWS, and a full course ride, and a 6 mile run. I'm contemplating doing the SWIM and the bike only, or shortening the run to 1 mile, or 3 miles...something like that.

    The other option would just be to pool swim Friday and do full bike/6 miles on saturday. A swim is a swim. I'm not a great swimmer, but I'm a comfortable one...so I'm not sure I see a huge benefit in doing MOWS. Then again, it's my last shot at a really big workout before taper.

    I dunno, what do you guys think?

    I'm planning on doing the swim, bike, and probably 3mi out and back on the run course. My thinking is that this is the last big training day, we have Sunday off to recover, and the taper starts.
  • @Mike - I'm with Jeff. Last push before taper. I've also never done an IM or swum 2.4 miles in open water, so looking forward to MOWS.
  • My experierence has been that riding 112 miles in the aerobars after swimming 2.4 feels different than riding 112 fresh. Since MOWS gives such a good opportunity to try this out I recomend taking advantage if you can. If you are worried about the 2.4/112/6mi run being too much, then cut out the run or only do 1 or 2 miles.

    Please be safe on the bike course afterwards though. It will be very crowded and people seem to get dumber and the groups get larger every week closer we get to the race.
