What to do in Tempe?
Any things we should see/do during our time in Tempe, either before or after the race? Also looking to schedule a massage after the race for me and my wife...any suggestions?

Hi Jeremy,
I am part of of the AZIM team as a cheerleader- I am local, volunteering at ride aid station 6 from 3-5, then cheering the finish line for all the ENers and my local friends. (and going to be in the volunteer line to sign up monday morning.) As for sightseeing, you will be right at the most visited site in the state (supposedly)-tempe town lake. Tempe isn't known for much outside the university. If you are into art, the Heard museum is downtown Phoenix. Everybody always likes to walk around old town scottsdale once (just up the street from Tempe.) The area is mostly known for resorts and golf courses. Some have some great restaurants if you are a foodie-Kai at the Wildhorse Pass Resort is one of 20 Mobile 5 star restaurants in the USA. J&G steakhouse (at the Phoenician, again right up the street from Tempe) is by NY restauranter Jean George Von Gerichten, is fabulous with a stupendous view of the city. As for massage, all the major resorts have spas but I think you way overpay. If your wife wants the full spa treatment-that may be the way to go. I go regularly to massage envy, a chain, and pay about a third. If you are willing to drive a little further into Scottsdale, the guy I currently go to gives the best deep tissue I've ever had. I scream in agony and he claims he's using mild pressure (I think he lies). Let me know if I can be of any help
