    Weight: 180

    Run - vDot: 43 (23:24 on 3.2 mi @7:19/mi, AVHR - 173, MHR - 187)

    Bike - LTHR: 162 (13.2mi @19.8mph on trainer, AVHR - 162, MHR - 178)

Lots of room for improvement - let's get this OS on!

  • V02: 357w

    FTP: 280w

    Weight: 157

    Age: 24

    W/kg: 3.92

    5k time: 17:42

    Vdot: 57.4

  • Age 33
    Bike VO2 307
Bike FTP 251 (could have paced this better, but still happy since I measured 222 at EOS 2 months ago!)
    Weight 183lbs = 83.2kg
    W/kg 3.02
Vdot 50 (was 52 at EOS :`( had to test on an 600m OAB course due to Sandy, which sucked)

Pre-EN Dan has set the bar for EN Dan. And EN Dan is getting excited about kicking the other Dan's ass.
  • Age: 34

    Weight: 175 lbs

    W/kg: 2.3

    Bike FTP: 185 W

    Run vDOT: 44

    Bike LHTR: 147

    Run LTHR: 170

.. I'm pretty sure my FTP is unfairly depressed b/c it's on a Computrainer and it's always a PITA to fiddle with all the variables (drag, calibration, etc.) to get something resembling anything close to outside. Hell, I barely know how to turn the thing on. I'll try to test again on a regular trainer to compare. Please don't kick me off the team just yet.

Of course, there's always a good chance I'm just slow.

  • All done testing!

    Weight--189

    Height--71 inches

    Vdot-----41

Still have a bunch of room for improvement!

  • Update after my Wed run test.

    VDOT 45 (6:35, 6:55, 7:15 miles, 173 avg HR).

Bike LTHR: 153, avg speed 17.9.

  •  Updated stats down below and in spreadsheet - look forward to seeing recommended goals!

  •  Age: 74

    Wt:  154

    W/kg: 2.3

    Bike-Vdot: 179

    FTP: 145

    LTHR: 136

    Run-Vdot: 29.4

    LTHR: 138

  •  Well here we go...kickin' off the OS.........

    Age: 51

    Wt.: 151

    FTP: 200

    LTHR: 153

    Wt./Kg.:  2.9

    5K: 20:06

    vDot: 50

    LTHR: 173

....Let's get rockin' in the Haus!

  • Age: 43 (soon; sigh)

    wt 154

    Bike test indoor on trainer: vO2- 280w, FTP 239w (3.4 w/kg) LTHR 143
    Run test 5k outdoors: 20:58 VDot 47 avg hr 167, max 174
  •  Bike test completed.

    Average HR: 161

    Max HR: 177

    Starting weight: 148

No distance or speed - trainer test

I want to improve on the bike.

    Run test on a treadmill

    VDOT 51.9

    Splits: 6'18.3/6'22.4/6'02.4/'34.9

    Total: 19'18

    Avg. HR: 175

    Max HR: 189

    Avg. cadence 88.6

  • Updated the spreadsheet, but for giggles:

    Age: 38
    Ht: 74
    Wt: 175
    FTP: 222
Max 5 min power in a 45 min criterium: 268
BTW, that was my first crit and I was pretty shredded at the end
    vDot: 38
  • Very late to the game but here nonetheless...

    Age: 47
    Weight: 120.5 (54.7 kg)
w/kg: 3.65 (I am not sure I calculated this right; took my FTP and divided by weight in kilos)

VDot: 44 (used a race I ran during the pre-season since I was sick on test day)
    Bike VO2: 224
    Bike FTP: 200
  • Note to coaches - when do we get our OS goals?

  •  I was in France on travel until last night, so did the 5k test on a hotel dreadmill and didn't get to the bike test until today:

    Age: 41

    Weight: 69 kg, 152 lbs

    20 Minute Normalized Power: 270*0.95 = 256 for FTP

    W/kg: 3.7

    Run vDOT: 44 (22:06 for 5km)

Bike LHTR: 166 bpm, max 183

Run LTHR: 176 bpm, max 186

    ----------------------------------

Thoughts: First time doing the 20 minute test, rather than the 20 on 2 recovery 20 on, and mentally this is easier. As for the run, there's still some weight to be lost and form to regain following knee surgery in May, so hopefully that's a low bar.

  •  FTP = 146

    VO2 = 175

    vDOT = 36

    Weight = 180

  • Coach,

Here are my bike test resutls:

    Avg Speed 20.01

    Avg HR 132.7

    Total Time 38:42

    Distance 12.9

    Age: 56

Weight 192 (want to drop about 10 - 12 by A race day)

    Run results on the way!

    Bill
  • Age: 52
    Weight: 163 lbs
    vDot: 43
    FTP: 252
    w/kg: 4.2
  • All things completed

    Age: 36
    weight 205
    vdot 44
    FTP 270
    w/kg 2.9

  • Coach P updated the predicted vDOTs. Woohoo! That next 5k's gonna hurt!!

  • i am dumb!!! where is it located?
  • @Kar-Ming -- re-open the spreadsheet (link in first post of the thread); predicted vDOT values are in the blue column; predicted FTPs still to come from Coach R

@Kar-Ming Lo - go to the first page in this thread an click on the hyperlink like you did to enter your data. This will bring you to the spreadsheet that you filled out. patrick has loaded his prediction to the far right!

As for me - this will be quite an achievement! Not only do I have a goal - it is based on what Patrick actually thinks I can do! Whoo-hoo! image

Fine, fine, fine.  I'm already feeling my TP runs getting easier, as well as my FTP sessions.  Shall I just put money on your card now rather than save the suspense?

I'll warn you though - it'll be much closer to the $5 than the $10000 suggested
