  •  kind of jealous of you guys who can ride outside.  On the other hand I'm not a very good cyclist and I am not sure I could do the FTP workout outside without killing myself.  How do you ride with your head down and eyes closed outside?  Use The Force?

  • I'd think that tilting the saddle up would increase pressure, since the pelvis can't rotate forward - but it's easy enough to give it a try and see if maybe there is a trickle down effect with mechanics that ends up helping.
  •  Cobb' s site states it allows you to rotate your hips back and take pressure off the sensitive bits.  Seems to work for me, but I am far from an expert.   I adjusted it only 1-2 degrees though ( used a level )

  • sucked it up, got out of bed while watching NFL to get my run done. Woo-Ha http://coffeeforthebrain.blogspot.com/2013/01/out-season-week-11-saturday-run-and.html
  • So I was having technical difficulties yesterday and could not post, but I got the bike in early in the day. I like many it seems am fighting fatigue I think as it took a bit to get the ol' motor going and it was a bit harder to get the last 10 min in at pace. I did get it done with only one or two times slipping below the desired zone, but it was a fight. I had a wedding yesterday, so getting extra rest wasn't an option either. Let's hope today is better for rest. All in all, I did get in over 1:15, so small victories.
  • Late reporting yesterdays bike but all went well. I'm liking the enhanced WU with 12' @ 85% but sometimes, yesterday, I had trouble holding back and ended up with an IF of 0.873. I may have burned a few matches there but it was encouragaing going into the 2x20 + 1x12

MS results were 0.986 & 0.963 for the 20s, then 0.963 for the last 12 which was very hard to hold.

    Total bike 1:40 @ 0.882

Bricked off the bike and only managed 16'
  • Like Steve - a day late reporting in!

Yesterday's bike went well - did the 2 X 20' @ Z4 and for the 1 X 12' @ Z4 - I went to my SCR and worked on getting my rpms up. I like to normally do between 65-70 rpms and know I should spin more. So, on the last set I get the rpms up to 80-90 and to me I am just going nuts.

Interesting note: with the last set of high rpms, I run better off the bike. I guess biking and running at the same rpms (I watched the RnP podcast on this) makes this easier. I need to try this once I can get outside - always been meaning to do this...
  • I felt great on the bike Saturday and the brick after words went good. 2 days late reporting but hey!!!
