From TriClub Program Challenger organizer Liz Kollar: We have an amazing club program planned for Placid this year. In addition to our tent city (shaping up to be incredible with over 20 clubs putting up tents!), we will be hosting a TriClub social, Friday afternoon between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on the Convention Center patio overlooking the Oval. Invitations will be emailed next week. Like most of our North American races this year the clubs will be competing for the Division Award which will be handed out at the Awards Ceremony Monday morning.
For all those racing this coming weekend and next, please note:
The IMTri Club Program coordinators and organizers are getting many emails that when the TriClub Bib lists are published they are missing athletes. The only way they know if you (meaning our Team) has athletes racing is
1) we gave them an athlete roster (we did not do this)
OR
2) our team athletes filled out the club survey.
Knowing who is racing for what club is really important for the organizers of this program, as that info helps them determine who gets in the Athlete Guides, who gets an EVITE to the social event etc. If you have filled out the survey you do not have to do it again, but if you have not, here is the Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/tribluprogram
Results are in. We placed 2nd at Ironman Lake Placid. Because there was some confusion about where to sign up and how to sign up I sent them our EN tracker to make sure they had all our athletes, and it is now confirmed. Congratulations everyone on your race.
@ B - is there a way that we can confirm that we've 'signed up' properly?
I did the survey a few weeks ago (IMWisc) but my track record with this kind of stuff gives me reason to doubt that I did it right.
Kind of feels like when you have to fax something but that particular fax machine doesn't print a confirmation page. I walk away just wondering if it worked.
@Chris - there were some hiccups at LP. I had done the survey as soon as it was announced (like 8 weeks pre IMLP) but saw the list with 1 week to go and I was not on it. So I did the survey again. When I got to registration, I stopped at their table and asked.... good thing 'cause I still was not on the list. I filled out a 1 line form right there to be sure I got on the list.
Great idea but I think they need to do a review of their registration process.
@Chris - the IM people working the Tri Club table at LP said that they had to manually key in the survey info and they were way behind due to travel. So we all filled out our info at the table. Hopefully they'll have it together for IMOO.
Folks, we are running in 5th in the challenge. We just won Timberman 70.3 and are in the running for first place at IMCanada. Just wanted you to know that you rack up points all kinds of ways. Here is a post from the FB page of the Triclub.
IRONMAN TriClub Program IRONKIDS Races: Folks if you haven't already figured it out, your member's kids can really rack up the points for your club. We just got all the IRONKIDS registrations back from Lake Placid and the Mid Maryland TriClub had over 14 kids racing! That's 3500 pts. with the added benefit of watching the cutest race in the world! An IRONKIDS race! Upcoming IRONKIDS races: IRONMAN Canada; IRONMAN Wisconsin; World 70.3 Championships in Las Vegas; IRONMAN Lake Tahoe; Keiki Splash and Dash (Kona); IRONMAN Florida and IRONMAN Arizona. Please check the event guides for details on registration and race time. You can also visit http://www.ironkids.com/ and register on line through Active.
Hi Guys just wanted to give you an update because we are getting lots of questions about TriClub Villages, club socials etc. at our up coming races.
Because the TriClub Program is a pilot program this year we had to limit the number of races where we offered the full blown club program experience (TriClub Villages, social events, etc.). But as you know we did have TriClub awards at most of our races this year.
The races where we had an expanded program were the IRONMAN 70.3 Regional Championships (8 races - the last one is the Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka) and two full distance races - IRONMAN Lake Placid and coming up IRONMAN Lake Tahoe. We will also have a modified club experience at IRONMAN Arizona and IRONMAN Florida where I am hoping to schedule informal focus groups with the clubs that are racing so we can look at the club program this year and talk about how we expand it or improve upon it.
Very excited to begin to get feedback from you guys as we move into fall aka..kind of the "off" season!

Well, well, well, look what our team mates did at IMCDA and IMSyracus 70.3. Congratulations. Lets see what we can do at Lake Placid
If you are not signed up yet. You can do so by going to this link and filling out the survey. http://members.endurancenation.us/Forums/tabid/57/aft/11996/Default.aspx

Brenda, both my kids raced in Ironkids Tremblant. I don't recall them asking what club I belong to so that we can collect points.
