Brenda, any way to get the web link for the EN tracker (the marc robards one where you can add non-EN athletes to) sooner rather than later? I need to send it out to friends and family and don't know what my online access will be once I get to MT. Thanks!!

Can someone tell me what the Ironman Tri Club Challenge is? I'm hesitant to sign up for EN since, as we know, this won't exactly be a PR kinda day for me.
The Triclub challenge is a challenge amongst clubs where they get points for their members participating in ironmans, or volunteering at them, or having their children take part in the Ironkids races etc. it has nothing to do with finishing times. The clubs participating are put into different divisions based on how many are in the club. At the end of the year, the top 3 clubs with the most points win things like Ironman entries, etc...
I stopped into a Verizon store today and they have an international plan for Canada and Mexico that looks like $65 will get you 1000 minutes of talk, texting at your domestic rate (if you have unlimited texting it is supposedly free but I must confirm) and 1 GB of data to be shared on a family plan. If you have Verizon you can call 1-800-711-8300 for their Global Support group that should have details.
@Nemo, et al, even though carriers won't tell you this, it should be free to receive messages while roaming abroad. However, sending them back can range from $.25-.50 EACH. That's on AT&T. So if you don't have a package, then it can add up - quickly! Especially if you use data!!
I shut off wireless data completely before I leave the USA. And I'm hoping the hotel, the Residence Inn we're both staying at, has good wifi. That way I can use my iMessages and viber and groupme and all those other apps for free while there.
Other than that, I'll probably be on complete radio silence most of the weekend. It's the same way I always travel internationally, and its the way I like it when I'm traveling!!

Thanks Peter- still trying to figure out if it is worth it for us to have data/voice while in Canada. Thinking we can survive on texting.

Scott, the 2013 EN Ironman Mont-Tremblant tracker link is:
http://marcrobards.com/entracker/2013/monttremblant/
To add custom bib#s to the tracker, just add a 'd' at the end like this:
http://marcrobards.com/entracker/2013/monttremblant/d
Good luck everyone!
