Did Thursday LR today since RR was Friday. Felt very good and HR was right where I wanted it - 20 BPM over EZ pace (158). First M pace interval a tad slow (8:20) but 2nd one right on target at 8:09. Felt very good - scary good. Taper time has begun!
looks like some really solid RRs guys! Great job by all.
Mine went well as well. I upped the intensity from my last RR from .695 to .72 too see if I could tolerate it with a run. Power started to fade at the very end of the ride, which had me a bit worried about the run. But I charged out of the gates and had to keep telling myself to slow down. Tried to focus on HR instead of pace and I think that worked well (10-15 bpm above bike Av HR).
I feel ready.
In celebration I had several 12oz Taper Ales on Saturday night and slept until 9am on Sunday it was great.
