2014 OS - Trainer Road is Ready for You!
Folks -
Thanks for your patience. As I mentioned, what Trainer Road and Endurance Nation are doing together for you guys is literally being invented / coded on a regular basis. You won't find this stuff anywhere else on the web (awesome) but it can take some time (generally not so awesome).
So, I have updated the Official Trainer Road Page in the Wiki. This has all the instructions on how to sign up, request access to the TeamEN Group (www.trainerroad.com/teams/3-endurance-nation, please give us 1 business day to approve you) and how to use the TrainerRoad system.
If you are already on Trainer Road and have been affiliated with EN in the past from a previous OutSeason, you should still be good to go. When you launch Trainer Road on your laptop, you should see all of the "2014 OS" workouts under the custom tab.
For more information on Trainer Road and how to get support for it, please go to the Official Trainer Road Page in the Wiki. Thanks!

Coach,
This is a fantastic benefit from EN. I am new to the team but I have been a beta user for Nate and the gang at Trainer Road for the last three years and absolutely love their stuff. I was training for long road races 200+ last year and it was not unusual to ride 8 hours on the trainer courtesy of TR and my Lemond trainer. I cant wait to do all this out season stuff with TR. I was actually going to create them myself but you guys have done all that for me/us!!!!!
This is huge.......huge fan of trainer road and this makes it even better.
Now.....when is the EN video launch going to happen with trainer road (ala sufferfest)!!!
Specifically, don't see the test.
Am I missing it?
quick question regarding the pre-loaded workouts: the warm-up section of the wkos don't seem to sync w/ the instructions. are there plans to load the EN specified warm-up for the test, as well as the standard wko's? is there any way I could help out with the labor of doing so?
The test is titled "2014 Test Power 5 min & 20 min". Visible for me under the TrainerRoad tab.
found it.
Thanks, Brent!
Where did you send the email? I didn't receive it and I want to ensure I'm on the right DL's.
Regarding the testing guidance in the wiki, is there anything in there specific to Trainer Road? If so, I'm not seeing it. Or should "virtual power" Trainer Road athletes follow the power testing guidance?
If you are using the virtual power and will continue to use this with Trainerroad throughout the OS, then you should be using the 20 minute test.
I'm on Trainerroad as I type this, and don't see the EN plans. I was approved, but am I missing something?
<---Noob </p>
they are listed as "2014 OS Wk1 Thurs ADV" or "2014 OS Wk1 Thurs Beg"
basic format is "2014 OS Wk# Day Planlevel"
Dawn - I found I had to go to the Info page and click Resync Workouts. Now I have them.
My biggest question is that I use a computrainer, but didn't "calibrate" the computrainer first. Does that make a difference? I couldn't figure out how to do that when I was using trainer road.
Also, it seems that the EN workouts aren't under the Custom tab, just the reguar Workouts tab. Small thing, but should maybe be addressed in the guidelines for EN users.
And finally.... should I immediately panic that years of training have been for naught if my virtual power numbers seem super low? I know, it's virtual power, just wonder.
You are correct in that the warm up is not in the workouts. You have a few options: (1) develop a 12' warmup that works for you, (2) do your warm up, then start trainer road, (3) do a Trainer road 30 minute free ride as your warm up, close it so it saves, then load up the workout from EN and start it about 1' before your main set intervals- Just click the cursor where you want the workout to start and this is where the time and your graph will begin.
