No rain or even mist, temp 50F, so my wife made me go outside and play, er I mean, run, instead of going to the gym/treadmill where I could watch the Broncos/Chargers. I think I got one SAU out of that.
Run was 10.3 mi in 1:26, for 8:21 avg, with 2 x 1.5 mi (5') @ my Z4, range of 6:56-7:16. 26 mi for the week, on target for my resolution goal of 1250 miles this year. Sometime I've got to emulate Jenks and start training for that April marathon, but not until Feb, I think.
Well my run today was not pretty but hit the targets and extended it by 20 mins. On to week two, and thx Al and Jenks, so much knowledge and talentis a great reminder of what is possible.
Sunday run followed a ~1hr 20min ride (2x10'@z4 & 2x15'@z3).
This run was very tough. I went straight off the bike and got on the treadmill. Within 5 mins I realized that I didn't take in enough calories on the bike, and felt a pre-bonk lack of energy and focus. (I'll be sure this doesn't happen again!) While not taxing on the lungs, this 40' run (total of ~6.5mi with warm down) really took it out of my legs and my mental focus. I was totally drained once done. Very happy to have stuck with it and to have hit my times. Very good training session -- remembering how to dig deep!

@ Matt - rest up and come back strong
@ Tim - Nice job on the test
@ Aaron - excellent job on cleaning up the eating. I too have seen good result in week 1 on the weight loss.
Got in the 45 minutes with 3X1/2 mile at TP. First hard work of the OS on the run up to this point for me and it felt pretty good.
Solid work this week by everyone.
