Hi everyone. This is the 3rd OS for me. No fulls this year, 2 halfs - Quassy and Timberman. Ready to get to work and focus on getting faster on the bike and in the water this season.
Thanks Nemo but I think I'm missing something. I don't have "Important Tools" on the right of my screen. I just finished the bike focused plan and that is what appears but I am unable to change it because there are no options available. I thought maybe it was because I was using my iPad but the laptop is the same. I appreciate your efforts to get me squared away on this and training per the plan.
Hello Everyone. First month with EN so obviously my first OS. Just started training with a power meter so ALL of this is new. Looking forward to learning the correct way to train. Thanks and I am sure I will have a ton of questions along the way.
Choose the "Support" link in blue text at the top of your page, and choose "Submit a Support Request." Fill out the form. It is probably just a back-end box that needs to be checked by the tech guru's. They usually respond quickly.

I am in for my 7th OS starting today. I live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.
I have been following the plans religiously but did not race too much the last few years as we got both our kids off to college. As a new empty nester, I am looking forward to a focused OS. I have been shadowing the NOS since it started as a way just to ramp up.
My main goal this year is to get back to racing and to up my game to keep up with my 2 daughters. My younger is a D1 student-athlete and it has been interesting to compare her top-notch coaching, conditioning, nutrition and training table advice to what we learn from EN. It makes me appreciate how much knowledge we have here, and what great coaches! My younger daughter has completed sprints and Olympics, so this summer we are hoping to do a Half together. I need to have a stellar OS if I hope to keep up with her!
Hello - Finally able to view the plan this afternoon so missed the bike test. Will do it tomorrow. This is my first OS with THE team. Been racing triathlons since 1988 with a few years off here and there. Raced some Xterra's, a few marathons, adventure races, mountain bike races and an ultra in early 2014 before being sidelined with no running due to some ankle tendonitis. My goal is to gain some upper body strength, increase flexibility, lose 30 pounds and get faster this year. I'm racing IM CHOO as well as a Half in early August. As soon as I can put in a solid run of > 5 miles, will do some other tri's. B2B was my first IM in 2012. Looking forward to this journey! I'm 51 and grateful to be doing what I love!!
Hi all! I'm Barb, from Valparaiso, IN. I am back to take care of unfinished business from IMLOU 2010. I have focused my time in the past few years, on marathons and ultra running. I'm excited to once again be active with EN and conquer IMLOU this year! I'll be starting OS next week, as I'm currently side-lined with the flu, on day 3. I am also doing Muncie 70.3 and Steelhead 70.3 as well as some shorter races.
Hello All- Excited to be joining the Jan OS again, took a couple years and was part of the Nov Crew. Coming into this OS with great run fitness off of a late fall Half marathon, but have been on the bike around 5 times since IMMT in august... Not too worried, the FTP will come back quickly enough I am sure and the new VDOT from the half marathon will make running hurt plenty enough.
Still working on firming up race plans. Probably something in grand rapids, steelhead and who knows what else will pique my interest along the way.
Hello....just signing in to all these sweet JOS forums. This is my third winter with EN, but my first OS. Always have had an early race (March HIM or May IM) and late October HIM, so I've never been "assigned" the OS. Excited to see what all the buzz is about.
My A race (and only thing officially on my slate so far) is IM Canada. Gotta lose 15-20#, bump up the FTP some, or the bike is gonna be ugly.
This is my fourth JOS but only my third season since season two was was torpedoed by medical issues. I'm a short course kind of guy having competed in three Olys in my short EN career, qualifying at last year's Nationals for this year's Worlds. That, in a word, is my "A" race for 2015. The challenge is to stay engaged (and healthy) for that September event. Current thinking is to train for the Chicago Half Marathon in mid May. I was injured training for this event in 2013 and although I finished, It wasn't pretty. I have some unfinished business there. I age up to 70 this year and am open to suggestions. Let the games begin!
Hello peeps! Lots of friendly faces, both old and new in the JOS. Returning member (had to take a year out to move to Okinawa, Japan and get settled into the new routine) who missed the camaraderie of the daily joys, pains, and accountability of the workout threads. But now I'm back ready to get after it.
I'm Roy, married to the most supportive spouse imaginable, father of three (13,11, and 6). Rabid SEC football fan (War Eagle!), sci-fi junkie, U.S. Marine. Unfortunately, my job has me living in Japan while my family is 'home' in Louisville, KY. Great for year round outdoor training, sucks for the family life. It is what it is. So making the most of it, I work, workout, explore, and rest. Perfect for getting faster! Major goals for this my 4th OS: 1. Consistency in workouts (don't overachieve). 2. Drop some weight (195 to 185-180ish) with goal 1 + moderately clean diet. 3. Enjoy the OS work. I'm looking to do Louisville this year. Hoping another year of work and a cooler race date will make me faster.
Really looking forward to working with everyone and crushing this OS. I'll be dropping into the threads for week 2 after I recover from my holiday indulgences and international date-time line crossing jet lag.
Happy to be a part of the JOS group. Week 1 down. The results are in my signature line. I joined EN late 2009 and successfully did IM Louisville in 2010 and 2011. Life and injury got in the way quite a bit in 2012 (calf injury) and 2013 (PF). I left a very secure job in June, 2012 and am figuring out how to make consulting and meaningful non-profit work go while still launching my HS to 20-something kids. 2014 was better, capped with a decent performance at Challenge New Albany. I hope to get back to being in community with y'all since I wasn't much the last few years. It will be an Oly and Half Iron year for me again. When life allows, I hope to jump back up to IM.
Hi All. I will be joining you starting this week. I was doing Nov Outseason but got derailed about 3 weeks ago (in week 10) due to some crazy work activity and some mild pain in my left knee that made me take it easy to not have that become a real injury
Looking forward to posting my workouts starting tomorrow!
