Who's Packing: CCW

  • This should come as NO surprise...I live in Memphis, TN and am from Jackson, MS and OF COURSE I am packing!

I have 4 handguns and I always (unless training) have at least one of them on me...along with an extra clip for my main pistol.

  • I second Rich, thanks everyone keeping the discussion civil. Much more stimulating and educational.

Did you see the guy get tazed on the baseball field? Maybe I should get one of those. Then I could use it on my cat too.

You do and I'll show up at your house with my 357!!!!    (and I just know you said that to see if I'd respond)

Not fair.  Your cat can't say "Don't taze me, bro!"

    Stephen,

Why do you carry a gun most of the time? Are you concerned for the safety of you and your family? A police officer? A concerned citizen? Do you live / work in a high crime area?

    Just curious!

LOL. Yup. But how else can I get her  to stop peeing in the mulch outside! Its like permanetly living on some Ironcat course!

  • Yeah...I don't live in a high crime area, but, I am out and about during the day meeting with clients in different venues.  The reason I carry a gun is because I got used to it, just like carrying my wallet, and now I just put it on whenever I leave the house.  I spend some time learning how to draw quickly from concealment, so, now that I formed the carrying habit and have the ability to actually USE the gun should I ever need to, I just find I would rather have it than not.

I see it almost as...why do you wear a helmet?  Just in case...right?

  • Stephen- I hope you don't need to use your gun nearly as often as Trent seems to need to use his helmet :-)
  • Yeah, so, I just read this thread again, and I realized that I probably come off sounding like a freak!  LOL.  I am actually a nice guy, obviously fairly type-A (aren't we all?), but, NOT someone you would EXPECT to have a gun(s) in concealment.

When I meet everyone on race day or at a four keys talk...please don't be worried!  Luckily for the Haus, my next race is IMCoz and I am not interested in getting my guns out of the country!  I DID get them to New York with me a month or two ago, but, COZ is a no no!

Anyone else actually carry on a regular basis?

  • Only packing excess body-fat Stephen!
