Stalking Ironman Wisconsin 2015 -- Go TeamEN!

Note, the official EN Tracker is here, so open in your browser, bookmark it, and REFRESH BABY!

This is Coach Rich's first IM since the invention of electronic shifting (aka Triathlon Stone Ages) and many more EN superstars and good friends racing. This forum thread is a place to comment, update and "virtually cheer" anyone racing...it's a really cool thing for the racers to come back and find / read after the race....so have at it.

  • Yep, this one has a good feel to it.

Gonna adjust my Sunday stuff so I can follow this on my laptop and NFL stuff on the tube.

Looks like a rainy Sunday here. Makes it all the better.

    Good luck to everyone!
  • Thankfully my Sunday is a rest day. I am in.
  • I've got a real soft spot in my heart for IMWI, and this year looks like it's gonna be extra fun to track folks! My refresh finger is ready!
  • I will try to figure out how to use my phone to track as I hope to be out on the bike course watching from time to time while getting my own training in.

Does anyone know where a contingent of EN folk may be hanging out on the bike course?

  • I think we need a ice cream TT RR for kona to take place this sunday, just sayin..
  • @Stephan - I'll be headed out to Old Sauk with Bruce Thompson and hopefully a few others, although I'm being told Timber Lane is easier to get to...
  • @ Jess...we'll park near Timberline and then walk out to Old Sauk if you want.  You'll get the opportunity to spend time on both hills, or just stay at Timberline if you choose.   Both are great for spectating.
  • Didn't see JW's name on the EN Tracker so I added his number (3003) to the signup sheet for him. Hope that's OK but just gotta see his splits along with all the others!
  • Sorry, didn't know my bib number until 5 mins ago since I wasn't on the original list. Can someone reach out to Marc to have it added to the tracker? Hard to do on my phone...
  • Kick some shit all !

    looks like perfect weather.

  • enjoy the race and kick some @ss !!!
  • I've reached out to Marc John.
  • Thanks for the support! The weather is shaping up to be perfect!

Jess and Bruce, please connect with Mariah re linking up to spectate on the bike course. She will have the EN flag. I've always like to spectate on Old Sauk, because of the shade, but it is a bit of a hike up Cleveland. And with the cooler temps the sun on Timberlane might be appreciated. Anyway, I trust Bruce's judgement so please come up with a location, pass that to Mariah and she'll pass it out to the team and spouses via GroupMe.
  • Gotcha Coach R... We trust Bruce's judgement as well, and wherever we land the Withrow Boys will be waving an EN Flag and likely throwing the EN gang sign backwards despite frequent instruction.... Now go take off your Coach hat and feet up 'till race morning!
  • Go Team!! I was planning on Timber Lane first then walk down to Old Sauk. I am escorting a few friends. We will keep an eye out for everyone.
  • Big good luck to everyone racing this weekend and of course one of our fearless leaders, Coach Rich! I will be live broadcasting all day at IMWI - follow on twitter or Periscope to get alerts and watch! #EN4Keys all the way baby!

Twitter handle is @teamen then download Periscope and follow TEAMEN - you will get an alert when I start broadcasting live and you can watch, and text any mojo or requests. Its a really cool app and a great way to share the EN love with the world. I will be going live from swim start to midnight finish! Ping me if you have any questions.
  • So excited for all you IM Wisconsin peeps! You're gonna have a GREAT day. Finally, there is a race with good weather:-) We'll be watching! Be safe and have fun out there!!
  • Good luck out there tomorrow. Race smart, execute like a ninja, and stay safe.
  • Go Team EN! Be fast, Be safe!
  • Hooray Coach Rich! 57:51 out of the water!!! Dang:-)))
  • Clearly Coach Rich gave everyone racing Wisconsin some top-secret swim lessons. Holy fast swimming! Everyone looks awesome. :-) Can't hit the refresh button fast enough.
  • patrick, just tried to send you a tweet, new to twitter sorry.  Let me know if need more info.

  • Todd glass, Endurance Nation number, reports that Coach Rich might've hit a pedestrian just after transition. Apparently he got up pretty quickly. God did not see any blood, rich continued on. The pedestrian was loaded into an ambulance. I hope everyone is OK.
  • Oh holy shit! That's scary. That first section going out of town can be a little crazy. I hope both Rich and the pedestrian are OK.
  • Withrow's first bike split is in, averaging 18.5mph. Did anyone validate he checked in a Fat Bike into T1?? Holy Wisconsin Cow!
  • Couple times showing weird. Coach still going?

    Matt kicking it.

    Matt kicking it.

I noticed that too.  Looks like they had a "restart" or something like that- also missing T1 times for the folks with funky timing.  Hope everyone is doing OK.  And yeah- Matt's on fire!

  • Had no idea cyber stalking could be so stressful. The IM blog/site/live feed isn't showing a thing at the moment.  Gah.  Go team! Be safe!!!

  • Go team! It's a rainy Sunday here - perfect for IM tracking and football! Woot!
  • Now you know how we feel when we are watching your results Jenn Edwards. If anyone can pull off this IM stuff after a crash it is Coach Rich. Excited to see how the day unwinds. I agree Coach P regarding the swim times. Two years ago the water was not flat and we all came out slower. Nice to see the conditions today were more optimal.
