  • Damn. Just finished Breaking Bad.

Yes, I dress sometimes scarily like WW (except my shoes are black) and I can be just as pedantic, but I don't shave my head and I couldn't grow a beard like that to save my life. :-)
  • and i assume Dr. Jenks is not making blue rocks.
  • @ Robin - Excellent inquiry!

did Breaking Bad last year. This year I have a new season of house of cards coming, but I just started Californication. shortly, the new season of "better call Saul" will be out, looking forward to how this one develops
  • Any good chemist knows that meth shouldn't be blue, either. :-) Nice, clear, and transparent. (But it's a good imaginative touch that no one should be too upset about. He has to have SOME impurity in there, and it might as well be 0.1% of something blue!)

  • Don't binge watch...binge listen. I load up my ipod with This American Life, Planet Money, and Freakonomics.
  • I prefer my meth blue.

yes for the intervals I crank up Pandora for music.

  • Reviving this thread as I am out of options right now... got through Ray Donovan, goliath (grat show), 2nd season of the man in the high castle. Need something to get me through 3x wkos for the next 12 weeks.. suggestions?
  • anyone know how to catch homeland on line ???!?
  • I tend to have Sufferfest or youtube of past Ironman championships, etc on.  I like to see others working hard when I am on the trainer!
  • How do you all watch things and pay attention to it?  I have music and a movie on at the same time.  BY Narcos is awesome but i cant read Spanish and hit my zone 4's and 5's... Id be so lost.
  • I do most of my biking on the trainer good weather or bad.  Last weekend:

Saturday - Spinervals "On the Limit" (3 hours)

Sunday - Doubleheader "Bridge of Spies" with Tom Hanks followed by "Oblivion" w Tom Cruise (4hrs 20mins total).

This coming Sunday will be Spinervals "Showdown at the Coyote Corral" (4 hrs) plus an episode of Ironman TV (about 30 mins)

BTW, I am in an IM build period right now.

  • I usually watch archive ITU race videos from triathlonlive.tv. Watching Alistair Brownlee scream at the other cyclists helps me crank through the long threshold sessions.
  • El Rey Network works for me - nothing better than some hilariously cheesy kung fu movie or some ridiculous Godzilla pic to take my mind off the Z5 and Z4 sessions on the drainer! :D
  • wanted to bump this up as I am going to do a 5 hr trainer session tomorrow due to monsoons coming to the North East.
aside from Billions which I am working through, interested in any online (netflix, amazon, or other) endurance movies, documentaries I should be trying to grab for motivation...

  • I really can't enjoy much of anything on the trainer when I am working so, I now use Zwift and occasionally look away from my power meter to see where I am on the course, the grade, bikers ahead of me, behind me, etc. then back to the power meter like a Gerbil on crack!

    SS
  •  like a Gerbil on crack!

you to realize that ^^THIS^^ is now your identity going forward!! Change the name on Strava to GOC!!
  • in the last 2 weeks I watched 13 reasons why... this thing is troubling specially if you have daughters..

Looking fwd for House of Cards on May 30
  • I watched the Barkley marathons documentary.. great one
there's also the "flatline to finishline" on Amazon, very inspirational
race across the sky (too much with Lance) but well done on the Leadville 100
    looking for more like these

  • late to the show as I am finally back from maintenance mode.  For anything above z2 or when I am on aerobars I just listen- podcasts (EN, bill simmons/the ringer, revisionist history, tower26) and music for the hard efforts.  for z2 and below (usually done on the road bike on rollers) preferably serial shows vs movies- "The night manager" was really good as well as "billions".
  • YouTube on my laptop. I watch archived cycling videos of the European Classics, Monuments and TDF/GdI.  Also, there is a 2014 IMLP 56-mile loop in the rain that I have watched a dozen times.  Sometimes, I will watch the Global Cycling Network and let it cycle through past episodes.  Like many others here, I cannot pay attention to much of anything other than my data when I am doing intervals.  I even find music distracting.  For long weekend rides, I try to go outside year-round.
