The "Holiday Weight Loss" thread
here it is the EN "Holiday Weight Loss Challenge" thread
Put down that Halloween Candy and get on the scale, that's right, fall has crept up on you, less daylight, no A race in sight, and it's getting tougher to see your toes over that growing mid section - well, the EN insult diet is here to the rescue!
the rules are as follows
Weigh in over the next two days.
post your weigh in, ideally with a pic
choose your target weight that you will weigh when the contest ends in 7 WEEKS (DEC 19th). Time to thin up for the holidays!
The Insults borrowed from the John Withrow Weight challenge.
1-Declare your current weight (ideally with a posted pic)
2-State your goal weight (Goal Date is 7 weeks away - Dec 19)
3-everyone reports weight weekly to this forum thread (monday morning weight ins), we are on the honor system, but in any given week, the admins can ask for a photo of scale (with toes on it!)
4-Admin (Dinhofer) will make a spreadsheet with target weights by week.
5-If in any week you are more than 2lbs over ANY intermediate weigh-in, you must take a non-flexing, picture that shows your face and your fat gut holding a sign that says "I am a fatty fat guy" (or "I'm a fatty fat girl"). This picture must also be posted to the Dashboard on EN as well as in the FB Group.
6-If you miss the final weigh-in goal weight, then you have your choice of the following 2 "Insults":
6-A-Do a Whitecastle (or similar) slider 6-pack 1.5 mile run on a track. Eat a slider then run a lap (6x). All on video, to be uploaded to youtube making sure you tell everyone why you are doing the punishment.
Note: if there is no "White Castle" near you, you can substitute with Jack in the box jr hamburgers, or as a last resort, McDonalds Cheesburgers
6-B-Run a sanctioned "official" race (with a minimum of 100 competitors) at a minimum 5k distance (but could be longer or a triathlon) All on video, to be uploaded to youtube making sure you tell everyone why you are doing the punishment.
Required attire:
Men: wearing nothing but a pink speedo (or mankini), socks and shoes (and race number belt if necessary) - NO SHIRT.
Women: wearing nothing but an American Flag String Bikini, Red Fishnet Thigh Highs (ankle socks if you want) and shoes (and race number belt if necessary) - NO COVERUPS of any kind

I suppose I post on the facebook page?
BTW, being in run jail for almost 6 months, I'll need to post a 'trigger warning' before my photo.
@All - EN activity should be confined to the forums. I Don't even know who set up the FB page, please post all activity here. Believe it or not there are some ENers without FB who may want to participate or follow
BF Skinner is rolling over in his grave.
I can't see how to post an image.
I convert that to current weight at 171.1lbs & target as 163.1
if you want to add a pick, it the blueish "add reply" button below the last post in the group, that opens a more robust screen for adding, formating, etc, including pics
@ ALL - I have to say that there really aren't any aggressive targets here. I've tweaked mine down for that, but honestly, we gotta dream big... anyone want to update?
will be posting the sheet shortly
need to drop another 5-7LBS before IMAZ. - I know its not LT goal but its a big goal for a big day for someone who was around 190 LBS on January 1, 2016
Awesome Francis - what do you want me to put in for your goal weight so you don't bounce off of IMAZ?
here it is:
@63.5 on monday (140 lbs), shooting for 127.8...
@DS could not insert pix for some reason (and I can on other threads, so this is weird..like there was another thread I could no post a reply at all)..
Ohhhhhh crap.
Well I am joining in my friends...... I need all the help I can get! And I don't start OS till Dec... I want to get a head start..... I don't eat bad just need to stop eating as much...and the nighttime snacking.... OYYYYYYYYYYY
I am starting at 133........ Realistic goal- 127 in 7 weeks.... looking to get to 120 for race weight this year (was 125 for placid in July)
Please note: this is a HUGE step for me to share my weight so openly! thinking its a good thing though---- Stepping outside my comfort zone.
here we go!
Thanks Scott.
Okay, I'll increase my difficulty to aim for 155. BTW, trigger warning about the photo.
Do you think this is really a good idea? Losing 3 Kg in 10 days means either total starvation or complete dehydration Don't stress on your weight @ this time for this race; Ironman is hard enough without trying to do it either ketotic or dried up like a prune.
if you aren't on the sheet above, no worries, I've updated it.. I need to see if my excel sheet will save with forumulas as a google sheet,so i can open it up to all.
btw, here is a pic from 2 years ago when i failed a weigh in..
Alright, I'm going all in here and will drop my goal weight to 164.4, for an even 10 pounds. 10 is what I lost in last year's OS, over 14 weeks. It was rough losing the weight while still fueling the wko's and not becoming a complete irritable a$$. Of course I didn't have the threat/motivation of running a 5k in a pink speedo or the running burger binge.
ok Scott, I just read this and really "an american flag string bikini and red thigh highs"?!?! Harsh! You know me, Im up for any challenge, but this one with those stakes….Hell NO!! HAHA!
