Completed today's run as a brick off of the bike. After emptying the tank on the bike, I knew that 30'@z2 wasn't going to happen. Split the difference between TRP & z2 and even that was rough.
Footpod for me on the TM as well. Most important thing is to calibrate it outside with GPS, then don't move it after calibration (or you'll need to redo it).
Semi-bricked off the bike (took a few minutes to refill water bottles, pit stop, etc.). Started at TRP and went to Z2, which felt like hell. Not sure if I'm starting to have some right Achilles pain or just cramping a little; I'll be working on it today. Only made it 26 minutes before I gave it up.
Ran Saturday's run as a brick and it went great. Will move my Sunday runs to Saturday until my half marathon next month. A 90-95 min long run with intervals is HARD after that Saturday bike! Only about 15 sec off Z4, but I was running as hard as I could. TRP and Z2 went pretty well.
Happy to complete 6 days a week of running again. Love the brick runs because I'm already warmed up and ready to go. Hate the TM so I'm using the TM as a very last resort for when is pouring rain or snow covered streets. Sunday's run was good but cut a little short at 59 mins due to a movie date.
Got Sat brick done and Sunday long run. Sunday was terribly slow although I felt my pace was pretty good. We'll see how week 3 goes I hope I'm not starting to fatigue for some reason
I'm a bit behind for the weekend, but catching up here.
@Bill - Calibrate the FP and don't accidentally set you watch to speed/cadence, as it will really blow up your pacing. Watch the Achilies pain as we're just getting starting here. Better to rest/adjust early for the long haul
@Leslie - WOW 90' brick run after Saturday's bike. Now that's some work.
@Derrek - Nice run streak. I'm with you on the TM. I chose to run Sunday's run in the rain.
@Marvin - Unconventional, but it doesn't matter how we get the work in, just that we do, and you did.
@Bill - Got them both in, great. Watch the fatigue and adjust the pace or time accordingly.
I was feeling pretty drained for the first half of Sunday. I'm signed up for the Insult Diet, with a few others and it's a tough balance to lose weight during the OS. I prefueled for a 4 pm run and decided that running in the rain was preferable to 65'on the TM. Luckily the rain stopped for the duration of my time on the track. The wind, however, did not. It provided a constant 10-15 mph headwind on the back half of the track.
65' 3 miles @ TRP (-13") 2x1 mile(4') @ Z4(-13) 2 miles @ TRP
It was a glorious run. Felt like I could keep on running. Ran all paces about 13" faster that prescribed, even with the headwind. It was tough walking up stairs afterwards, but Monday is a rest day.

Time to take the family to visit Santa.

Did the run in 2 parts - TRP for 30, break for 90 minutes, mile intervals for 20.
My daughter had a play date about a mile away so she rode her bike and I ran, then ran back. Ran over to get her and ran back.
Unconventional, but the work is done.
Finished the work as outlined in the TM today. Not much to say about it other than that...
