Ha swim and yesterday's run today...short easy 30 min...good recovery....btw anyone else swim faster with buoy and bands than without??
Very common among triathletes, d/t low body fat and inability/unwillingness to point toes, probably from running so much. Also, desire to "save legs". Net result, when "swimming", feet tend to sink, increasing forward drag. Pull buoy brings lower limbs to horizontal, decreasing drag.
Sunday run day is Sunday fun day! Once the rain passed through this morning, I literally ran out the front door to get the wko in. Hit all the numbers per the wko and felt great!! Looking forward to week 3.
Today's long run in the books. Didn't have any troubles with the run, and felt good throughout. Looking forward to getting some of the speed back. Just a few months ago I was doing 2-3 mile run / walk, today was 6.5 miles.
I skipped one brick run the week...glad I did...ended the week with a solid weekend...just shy of 11miles today progressive...good work everyone! https://www.strava.com/activities/840987478
Got in all the runs this week and on target. Coming back to EN after a bad injury last year I've got to give myself the patience and discipline to get the leg strength back and manage the pain. So today's 55' TRP + run was just that - added to Z4++ 0.5M sessions on the leg back (last week I really overcranked the run and was trashed for several days - too early in the JOS for that!) and I was consistently on. Overall happy with the strength / flex, bike, and run this week. Win!!
So, I wasn't getting the new forums to show up on my other browser...sorry I haven't been posting the last week...I thought we all were still down.
I'm with John, though. Today's run was pretty hard. The weather was decent so I ran outside and made my two miles in 7:00 time...but the rest was pretty slow. Yesterday (Saturday) I really felt like I was starting to get in Shape, and today, I felt old and slow. I guess that's all just part of the game.
Three days of walk/run in-a-row... ran 6x1.5' at HIM pace with plenty of fluff recovery. Considering this time last week it was unclear that running was in the cards at all, I am thrilled. Reducing the W/R ratio, slowing it down to TRP, and focusing on frequency.
Week 2 is in the books. Good run with 2 x 1 mile at hard pace. I was able to go under 5K pace by 20seconds on each mile. I felt strong. Here is the http://tpks.ws/DAnTD
On another note: I signed up for training peaks and still don't know what to do with it. I have all of my data there, but I think I need a training peaks university course

A little behind, with two runs to report 3' running on Friday and 6' Sunday. With 15' running total for the week, hitting my goal.
