2018 Key Race Announcement & Information [Including a Poll]

Lots of chatter and requests, so time to kick this off so you can plan for 2018!

Ironman
We will have three Ironman® Key Races in 2018. This means Coach + Mariah + Teammates + Awesome. You can still do other races, but these races are obviously special. 
70.3 
We will have two 70.3® Key Races in 2018. 
Final Race TBD...there are three events on the table. Depending which one has the most sign ups by 1/1/2018, we will pick that event. Your choices are:

    Curtly signed up for lake placid , may not attend due to family wedding, IM distance best for due to better end end of season fitness. looks like Whistler for the full.

    With the IM calendar shifting later and June & July races still pretty early for most of us, could we look at an IM in August/September - Mt. Tremblant (again), Wisconsin, Chattanooga, Louisville?  Boulder and Placid don't seem like enough for the size of our team and are early. 

    Also, is there a way to set something up so we can see who has signed up for any 2018 IM race -- a kind of "oh, I like him/her and it would be fun to do an IM with them even if it isn't a key race."  Leverage the "KMF Man effect" from this year's Tremblant.

    @Scott Liston -thank you for the feedback. As a reminder, we have been doing in August September is like a blunt or Placid or Wisconsin for the better part of a decade. This is our attempt to branch out a bit. And of course, any race you do you will have 20 EN people there even if it isn't an official key race.

    as the part about finding other people, please see my forum post from yesterday and the technology thread of the admin notification form. That is something we are definitely working on!

    Why have the World Championship as a key race when 98% of the team can't participate?

    it's not the WCs, it's the TEAM championships, the one that was in PR last year... ANYONE can particiipate, the top 5 results get counted to the team score for determining the Pan American Team Championship that we won in PR..

    Mark ... I suspect it's listed that way to indicate that Patrick (& Mariah) will be there no matter what to support the racers, and also running a concurrent camp - which IS open to all.
