@Al Truscott I'm already signed up for IMLP. That will consume my SAUs for the year. I would enjoy spectating again, but no way I'm even thinking about trading that for her wedding.
Tri Club registration successful...back for #7 @ IM AZ. Goal: Less than 11% slower than 2008 (1% per year is how fast old men slow down...). That would be sub-12:10.
@Al Truscott I don't remember how old you are off the top of my head, but if you're over 65, the results below show that time would get you a KQ. If you still want to crack the code.
anyone else? Al & I stayed at the red lion last time I did it, great prices for suites, that said, if not too much more, I'd do the Residence inn where we can walk to the transition, I am sure it's more. Can we all come to agreement on a hotel?
Residence Inn OK, but web site wont allow reservations after 11-10-18 as yet . Ive got placeholder @Baymont Inn & Suites, where Ive stayed twice before. Across the "river", .5 mi away from T.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Looking forward to seeing some of the EN Legends like @Al Truscott@Scott Schneider and @Francis Picard in Tempe 2018. Can we manage to bring @Coach Rich out of retirement to make an appearance Rio Salado? This will be #5 consecutive IMAZ. @Al Truscott you may recall that I'm the EN'er who runs in the Luna Sandals. If I don't see you all at Lake Placid, we'll see everyone November 2018.
I contacted WTC, and they sent me an offer tht I couldn't resist... an early Club Team Entry to IMAZ 2018 courtesy of Team EN. I'm in. Placeholder @ Baymont.
And..another sucker. I am in for AZ 3rd time - placeholder @ Baymont also. Working on race report now. Had a Fantastic race both last year and this year...so can't resist. 16' stayed @ university inn, '17 hyatt place, now going with @Al Truscott recommendation.
confirmed - I am in too.. And I was saying that no more IMAZ cuz too late in the season.. oh well. a flat course and IMAZ is my lifetime PR, time to crush it
@DANIEL MOLINA - I didn't make the legends list, sad, so sad @Francis Picard - you'd better work hard, If I toe the line for this thing, my "one thing" is going to be not to get "Frenched" Again!
@Al Truscott - baymont vs Red lion? what is @Francis Picard's - university inn like? I will put a place holder in at baymont as well
Got a "king suite" at the Baymont... Pro-tip for anyone else, do the entire reservation process on their site, fill in all the details right up to the payment tab. don't pay, wait 48 hours and look in your inbox or spam folder for email you gave, I got a 15% off link to use..
Has anyone stayed at the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes? Bringing the family down & it looks like a great place to have the kids hangout & relax.
I signed up via my local tri club. months ago, could not think about it until I took care business,
Just returned from IM 70.3 in South Africa. got off plane yesterday so will jump into IM training at week 11. I have or will be starting a new week of training. My rides and swims will be longer.
@EugenePartridge I think I will be doing a 6 hr and a 3 hr ride this Fri/Sat. I've found doing the longer ride on local rail trails works for me. This time, I'l go to an old stand-by, the Interurban/Green River complex (starting @ the South end) for the first 60 miles, then shoot down to East Puyallup trailhead of the Foothills trail for the last 40+, with the run there. That ends up being pretty darn flat...
The next day, probably scooting around the Kitsap peninsula. Then maybe another half marathon in Snohomish on Sunday, or just slog away doing repeats on the trail near my home. Boring, but there's water every 1-1.75 miles that way.
Nothing exciting about long rides, but at least it won't be wet.

Will be there. Doing a low volume approach. No irons done since Kona 2016 and Arizona 2016.
Have done Arizona twice but never off a fully rested season.
Am feeling good. Hopefully my knee issues will do ok with the build.
IMAZ, 6 weeks out,
camp week, both excited and a little anxious.
weather clear and cool. No flat out here so will ride a lot of hills.
swim will be indoors, lakes already too cool for Sunday test
