Coach P here with a bit of a mid-month logistics update. Our guides in Mallorca were able to secure different accommodations for our stay in April. This new hotel offers many of the same amenities as the Villaconcha, is closer to the bike shop, beach, and main street of Pollenca. We will now be staying at the Park Pollensa Hotel (https://www.cabot-hotels.com/gallery/), which is literally across the street from Pro Bicycle Hire! And it means we can do more awesome group stuff!
Here are your action steps:
1. IF you have booked early arrival / late stay dates with the Villaconcha, we need those dates from you ASAP as we can try to book them at the new hotel. You must reply to this email with those dates by Friday EOD. Some of you may WANT to stay at Villaconcha for your extra week; if that's the case, just tell us when you contact us with your dates!
This form allows us to organize / pay for your airport travel, get critical info, etc. Ideally you complete this form by Monday 1/28 latest!
3. STILL HAVEN'T RENTED A BIKE??? If you can't find the size / type of frame you want, we need to know that ASAP as well. Tell us what size you need by using the pro bicycle hire site and we'll connect you with our guide Mark to make it happen: https://www.procyclehire.com
4. Looking for One More Epic Woman - We have one shared room spot available for Camp. The price is 1800 Euros, just about $2000 for the full week. Please pass it on and have interested folks email emily@mile18inc.com. We can work out a payment plan for them if needed!
Again, thanks for your patience. The camp is going to be epic...just a few more administrative hurdles to go! If you have questions or issues, please reach out to EB.
Reminder to fill this out for me by Wednesday this week if you haven't yet! We want to make sure everyone (plus spouses) are included for hotel and ground transportation, especially if your arrival/departure dates are outside of posted camp dates.
If you see I have any incorrect information, please feel free to click on your cell and edit.
If I do not have your flight information, you do not have a hotel room yet. Our guide needs all of this information before he can confirm rooms and ground transportation.
I so appreciate all of you as we transitioned our accommodations over the past few weeks! Once we get the last of these very important logistics confirmed, I promise to talk about cakes and sangria.
Quick question for you. My wife Paige is traveling with me to camp (not a camper) and I don’t see her name on the athlete arrival/departure sheet. So I’m not sure if she needs to be added to the sheet for transportation and hotel registration purposes.
Hey @Tim Stajkowski GREAT QUESTION! If you'll fill out a form for Paige as well? We have a handful of other athletes bringing their spouses. There is a place where she can fill in her wish list of things to do while you're on your bike. I hope to work with Mallorca Cycling Tours on excursion options here soon. You cannot give me too much info : )
Here is the link again -- and just to confirm, I do have her on my master spreadsheet.
Any advice you can offer on communicating with the bike shop? I have cc: you and @Coach Patrick on the emails to the bike shop. Still no answer from them . Thanks for all your help.
Hey All -- Great news! I've confirmed that your new hotel rooms are booked. I'm waiting for additional costs for those of you who are either arriving early or departing after camp.
Other than that, if you have confirmed accommodations at Villaconcha, please make sure to call and cancel.
I hope to have confirmation numbers for everyone soon.
Hike. Close to hotel. For those with spouses or looking for something else to do.
My wife went on a hike with some great views and beach. She walked from the hotel. An hour-ish one way.
Google has a hiking symbol at the start and calls it Wanderweg Vall De Bòqer. You walk up the gravel road toward the Cases de Bòqer (which is no longer in business) and then on trails out to the a beach and water (Cala Bòqer on the map). It's mostly rolling until the descent to the beach, which is very steep. Great views the whole way.

Since the new place doesn’t have a lap pool, is it possible for us to go over to the Villaconcha to swim since they are owned by same group?
@Mark Roberts - I will ask @Emily Brinkley To check in during our call on Monday! 👍
CAMPERS!!
Just emailed the 2019 Mallorca Camp Guide out. Please take a look when you get a chance. We're so close, I can almost taste the CAKES AND SANGRIA NOW!
