If anybody does get an iBike, just be careful with having your speed and cadence sensors on the same chainstay like Al has pictured - I tried setting it up like that on my bike but where I can position them to get close enough to the magnets, the speed sensor picks up the cadence magnet and vice versa so it gives wonky readings. I have the speed sensor on the drive side and the speed sensor on the other.
I'm waiting for the metrigear product to come out this summer (I'm on their beta test list) and will use the iBike as the head unit like Al is going to use for his PT. I don't want to rebuild my Zipps with a PT and since I have a couple sets of wheels with different gearing, I kind of like not having to be hand-cuffed to one rear rim/cassette.
Initial usage of iBike over the last week has been great - the numbers are pretty close to what I was getting with my Kurt Kinetic watt meter but it served its purpose. Since iBike has a power curve profile for the Kurt Kinetic trainer, it's all good.
Have yet to do a full calibration out on the road since the weather is crappy here so I'm using it strictly on the trainer for now - will report back once I do that calibration process but it seems pretty straight forward. Will try without the Remote Wind Sensor (even though I have it) as the position "looks" like it will get clean air where it is currently mounted between my aero extensions - interested to hear from anyone else who is using it between their arms (and have clear "tunnel" leading into the wind port on the iBike)
Sucking the iBike data into TP WKO+ is easy and it's great for us data geeks, but the iBike software is great on it's own (wish you could edit intervals and use arrow keys to advance through the ride data though).
all in all - great experience so far - picked it up on eBay for about $600 brand new. The folks at Velocomp are amazing for support as well.
Tavis - I will try switching the speed pickup to the other side and see if I get better results. Maybe then I can emulate you and wait for the mterigear. Thanks for the insight.

Good call Al.
So far I've been happy with it but I've only been using it indoors on my trainer so the REAL test is when I get outside.
