My chain/cassette is still rubbing!!  This is driving me nuts.  Its only in about a 2 inch spot too, like the plastic needs to be held down or tightened or something, and my "crack pipe" isn't working to boot!  Its the little things that kill.

Dan- We solved my issue by shortening the plastic screws that hold the cover on. Cutting off about half of the male side pulls the cover tighter.

  •  Thanks, I'll try it!

Its not the room I don't have, the plastic moves enough for it, I can't seem to keep the pipe on the valve long enough to get the right amount of pressure in the tire.  It pops off.  Pisses me off, I paid $20 for it and it looks like an actual crack head made it!

Pumping up a wheel with a crack pipe solo is a huge pain. You have to hold the pipe on the valve and pump with your chest/body weight or just ask someone to pump while you hold.

  •  Do you even need it if you use a micro-flator out on the course if you flat?? is the pipe for hand pumps only?  I just wondered because I'd hate to ask someone to pull over during their ride!!!  Thank you everyone, I'll have to teach my kids what to do to help before a ride.

  •  I tried cutting the screws today, cover fit great, but after a 2 hour ride i lost 3 of them.  I cut them about in half, so I'll order some more and just cut the tips off this time.

  • This is the Silca crack pipe I bought. It is not perfect, but you pretty much can inflate with the normal number of hands and feet for one person. :-)

  •  Great!  I'll check it out.  Yesterday, we had to put the baby on a blanket in the yard while my wife held the paraphernalia  for me.
