IMLou and IM Canada Race Day Tracking Thread
OK- here's the thread for us to share all our energy and good vibes for the team!
First things first. Seems the EN Tracker (for Lou anyway) isn't working right now. The guys are aware of the problem and are trying to get their IT dude to look into it. In the mean time we may need to revert to a little "Old School" tracking. I need to take a shower, but when I get back I'll post the current updates for everyone.
In the mean time, I can confirm all the EN Chicas are out of the water and onto the bike!

WHEW! OK, the guys got the tracker working while I was in the shower So I don't have to whip out the old spreadsheets!
Looks like our folks are well into the bike leg with most everyone already putting in 23 miles, and several folks having 40 mile splits too. Michael Johnson had a GREAT swim with a time of 1:04- wow!!!
Just a reminder, with IMLou having a TT Start, it gets REALLY hard to figure out who is where on the course (or what AG place they are REALLY in) because you don't know when they got in the water.
So excited for them! GO TEAM!!!!
Barry is local to me, former coaching client, and a good friend. I took him and his wife, Johnna, to the airport on Wednesday. He's wicked fit so very curious to see how he does.
I can't motivate so a ride this morning so going to shower and hit the moto for a few hours, will be back online laters!
Need to have an easy access link on the dashboard.

Dan Gilliat is off the bike in 5:47!
The Canada folks are rocking! Everyone past the 42 mile mark. Looks like that gang is having a great day!
Don't know if he's still officially in EN, but Chris Whyte (lakerfan) is doing IM Canada. He swam 58 minutes, and did the first bike leg @ 20.7 mph. His number is 1354.
With the TT start in IM Lou, does that mean the swim times are the time from 7 AM, or the actual time of that individual?
He is !! Nice & steady.
No word on Barb. Kris F has not seen her.
Just saw female pro cross finish line in 9:33:15. Must be HOT!
Chris Whyte - aka Lakerfan - not sure why he is not on the Canada Spreadsheet, but swam 58 minutes and rode 20.7 mph for the first 42. Seems about right for him.
Keep an eye on Matt S in IM Lou. He is executing to perfection through the first half of the run. He's moved from 15 >> 10 >> 7 currently in M 50-54. If he doesn't falter, and a few in front succumb to the heat, he has an outside shot an Kona, and a good one at the podium (top 5). Remember, he posted all that research on running pace in the heat last week.
Not on EN spread sheet, just checked IM Lou tracker and there is a 70 mile split for Barb! Keep Pushing Barb! With time trial start, she has until 6:30 pm to make bike cut off. Come on Barb go, go go. can you hear our cheers!
Everyone looking good! keep up good work! Last i checked, michael Johnson was 2nd for Exec challenge for 45 +
Possibly getting stormy in canada?
Ok, back to kitchen,,,,,,,,,
Watching Matt's splits appear is like poetry in motion. The man is seriously dialed in, and executing like a machine. Beautiful Rick, Dan, Michael are looking the same way. It's a joy to see. The whole team is doing amazing!
Fingers and toes crossed for Barb. She worked like a dog, and I hope she gets her day.
I was wondering about this, too, but here are a couple of observations....
* I think IMCA is in a timezone 3 hrs later than IMLou...
* the partial bike splits at IMLou are cumulative...ie: 23, 40, 70.5, 112, are the actual distance within the 112 miles. However ,the IMCA splits are different...just two splits, 42 and 70. But the "70" split is not at mile 70, rather it's at mile 112 (42 + 70). VERY confusing that the ironmanlive website does it two different ways for these races.
* There is finally at least 1 "70 mile" bike split on the EN tracker...Barry Plaga...so I'm guessing the tracker is working.
