It's amazing the kinds of relationships that grow here that people don't even know about--like all our discussions about getting a dog. They were great convos, and we formed a connection around that. I hope you willl let us know how you are along the way. We are all on your side big time, and as friend of mine who is in her own battle right now says--fu*# cancer. Fight hard, Mr. Warrior.
Maybe a warm, furry face is also just what you need right now.
Trent - Saddened to hear about the recurrence of cancer. I'm optimistic because within your post, I detected DETERMINATION. You WILL beat back the cancer! It was great meeting you in Placid and look forward to seeing you again. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please, if time and energy permit, keep us posted on your progress.
I'm speechless. One of the things I've probably always taken for granted is simply being able to do this stuff. Get better soon, and check in with us to let us know how you're doing.
Take a little piece of me out there on the course and be willing to suffer through the tough times as I will for u all too.
You got it! You will be on that course with each and every one of us. And when it gets tough, I'm gonna ask myself "would Trent give up?" Hell no! We all know you are an amazing fighter- so kick cancer's ass! If there is anything you need- you know you have a huge team here willing to do anything for you. Just ask.
Damn, Trent! Go attack it like you do everything else in life. I know you'll take all the fire in you and direct it to getting healthy. Then you'll be back to racing triathlons like you stole something! Keep us updated on your progress. All the best, my friend.

I love it and would like to take it a step farther. I would like to propose that this Sunday, September 12, 2010 be "WTGU" Day!
On this day every EN member put WTGU someplace prominent on their body during their event or training session. I will be in Santa Cruz, CA racing Big Kahuna HIM and will have the body markers put WTGU on my left calf and right forearm in BIG letters. Calf so people will ask and I can tell them we are supporting a friend and on my forearm so I can see it all day long. I will get Pete Carroll to join me.
I throw this out to you IM MOO folks, you guys and gals game?
Hey Trent, as you said, you will crush the cancer again and you will come out stronger again ... just like last time.
You will be missed around here but know that we will all be thinking of you and praying for you. When you are up to it, please check in ocassionally and of course let us know if you need anything.
We believe in you, and we know that you believe in you. Attack this mile by mile, and think about what's in your box. Manage the $hit out of everything you can and just visualize that finish line when you come up against something that you can control. You'll get there, Trent. If anyone can you can...you've proven over and over again that you can!
I don't have much more to add that has not been already said so I will wish you the best and look forward to reading about your return when this cancer crap is over with once and for all.
Trent, thanks for sharing this with us. Not sure we can imagine an EN without your smiling face doling out real (and digital) punishment, but you gotta take care of business. As many others have noted, if there's anything we can do to help out right now please don't hesitate to ask. We are all here for you, seriously. Best to you and the fam...
Trent, wishing you the strength and courage to cope with the cancer. May you be surrounded by the love of your family and friends as you fight this. Please reach out to the EN family if you need anything we are all behind you.
Can't add much to what's already been said but know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers too. Stay in the "Box" and we'll see you crushing it again soon! Count me in on WTGU Day...
I'll be blunt. We are in our house where my 18 year old nephew has battled leukemia for two years while his mom battled (and won breast cancer). F..k Cancer. Go kick it's ass. Show it who is boss. Show it who wins.
Sending you love, prayers, energy, laughter and good thoughts. Go do your thing and know you have tail wind of EN support behind you.
Trent, I'm sorry I won't have the chance to meet you this weekend... but I'm sure I'll get the opportunity soon. You're already brave, determined, and strong. So, in the meantime, be well. Although I'm not racing Moo, I will certainly be thinking of you in Florida in November.

I think that will fit on my forearm.

Our thoughts and hearts are with you and your family. Please holler if there is anything we can do.
Take care, and keep rocking.
