  • @ Mike - The Nov 2010 forum is there in the same place as the 2009 one just at the bottom of the training and racing groups.   Nice job on the test.  To get the forum unlocked I believe you have to join the Nov OS group - Go to 'Community tab' - ' Groups' and at the top I believe there should be a Nov OS groups.   Join up and I believe this will give you access to the forum.  If not I'm out of suggestions for this problem.

So join the groups first to get access.  Then go to the forum and post up.  For those new to EN the forum is found here:

Under the 'Community' tab - 'Forums' - scroll down to 'Training and racing'  it's all the way down at the bottom of the training and racing groups.

  • I have done the run after a few times. I am usually in such a strange place mentally after that an easy run is a good way to adjust back into nor,al society.
  • Folks...this will be my first OS with EN.

As many of you...I am not in what I'd call fantastic biking shape. I did some 2x20's last week as trial runs for the test this afternoon. I did them at lighter wattages as a way to help me guage my pace. I've only done the 1x20 spinnerval tests (-5%) in the past. So I didn't want my first EN workout to have me dying on the floor.

As such, I am a little bit concerned that the number I get here is going to be a bit lower than my true FTP.

My only real concern is how quickly it comes back. I figure after a week or two I will start to get back into shape and my FTP will bump back up to where it should be. How do you account for that in your intervals? We don't test for another 8 weeks...so is the typical protocol here to watch your intervals and just bump up your FTP based on how you perform in workouts? Or...do you just find a time to retest somewhere in there? I was thinking it is easy enough to do a 20min ftp test in there as I'm sure RnP have a 20 minute interval in the plan somewhere.
