@ Trent: Super congratulations my friend! However, to be honest, am not surprised as I have watched you consistently hammer out these workouts day in and day out while managing through life at the same time.
@Trent...Way to go. I am sure you would have gone sub 18 in better road conditions and weather. Great improvement.
I re-tested this afternoon. Very cold and still not the best of roads as I slipped a few times. Must have summoned my inner "Trent-foo" cause I really dug deep to push this one. I ended with a 19:07 and a 3.6 jump in my vDot. (48.8 to 52.4) Now the fun begins with the new zone.
wow...super fast and super hardcore peeps in this forum...my mojo has been waning and I swear, just reading these posts helps me to move on.
Great job to everyone.
Well, clipped about 6 seconds off of my time from last test and jumped a vdot point. I'll take it! Faster by like 40 seconds from this time last year so cool!!
I finally got around to running a 5k after my previous planned race was snowed out on Dec. 19. I ran 19:51 for 3.14 miles, which is about the same pace as a late September race I did for 3.11 in 19:43. The race today wasn't certified, and I trust my Garmin more than whatever they used to measure the course. I feel like I could have gone a bit faster today because I wasn't totally miserable by the end.
