Is this for "this topic" or ALL emails?

  • It seems each topic has the subscribe box. whichever topic you are receiving emails on, uncheck and they should stop
  • I quickly relized that with the increased activity this year, there is no way I can deal with being notified on every topic.  Go to your settings and look for Forum Preferences.  You can uncheck the notification box there.

  • Hold the presses - if you are in the forums and:

go to "My Profile", "My Settings", "Forum Preferences" there is checkbox for "Subscribe to topics" - this sets your default when you create a new topic or add a reply

go to "My Settings", "Preferences" there is  checkbox for "Subscribe to topics" - same settings as above

go to "My Settings", "Forum Tracking" you can turn on mail and/or RSS notifications. - these are forum level settings

  • My box under My Settings and Forum Preferences is NOT checked and Im still getting email messages....any other thoughts

  • If you go to the "General Discussion- November '09 Outseason" page and look at the top of the page, there is also a "Subscribe to this Topic" thread.  Do you have that checked?  I had originally checked that box when I subscribed to the NOV OS season and was getting swamped with the emails for just this "forum" even though I didn't get emails for other topics.
