I was worried too about you on the bike with the web glitch. Glad you made it home. We just signed up for cda 2012 to give that course a second run. Reconsidering being there?
Congrats Al. I am really happy for you. Ever since you wrote about Jordan Rapp's comeback I have been hoping your own comeback would progress well. CdA was a victory for you and looks like you are on track for IMAZ. Thanks for all the insights you have offered the team.
Al- It's a pleasure to know you, and a pleasure to race with you. And I can honestly BLAME you for getting me into this group of misfits. Can't wait to do it again in IMAZ.
Al, what a great race report! It was a pleasure to meet you. And a pleasure to ride with you for so long. Sorry I wasn't able to keep up some we could have run together as planned. I'm quite sure you will win in AZ. You don't know how to lose.
Al, you are my hero! I loved meeting you at the dinner before the race and getting some of your advice. You are a legend here and I can't wait to see you running in Arizona.
Al - Congratulations on a gutsy comeback finish. I had heard you were in a bad accident, but I didn't really know the full extent of your injuries until you detailed them Monday am after the race when the EN team met for coffee. Wow!! It was amazing that you could even start the race, much less train adequately for it. And yet you finished again. You are one tough dude. I am honored and grateful to have met you and to be the beneficiary of some of your wisdom about how to race an ironman and to observe firsthand your example of how to overcome major life setbacks. Thank you for all you do for the EN team. You have inspired so many of us. Again, congratulations on your comeback finish and I look forward to racing with you again someday. Good luck @ IMAZ.
