I'm not sure how they calculate Kona slots exactly but there were 381 m40-44 who had a swim time and 445 registered ( i assume picked up a packet or did not get a refund) of a total 2792 athletes. If you use the first number (381) that's 8.8 kona slots is the 445 is used that 10.3 or 10 slots given the 65 slot allocation. I believe it's the larger number that is used, but correct me if I am wrong.
So if my numbers are correct Dave has a Kona slot and coach is out or in depending.
Just a shout out for Becky H who has been fighing foot issues this season and Brian R looking to finish who looking strong coming in. I'm off to bed after being sherpa at my wife's 1/2 marathon today. I almost think that's harder work than racing.
