Very cool.
After the AG swim start, I'll head down to the rec center for my RR swim, in slightly different conditions - 8000' up in the mountains, and intermittant snow showers. Cheers to all our team.By the end of the day, I may be speaking half-Australian, with all this Welchie and Michellie.
That's sub-1 hour wetsuit.
Craig Alexander looks ... awesome on the run @ mile 2-3. Like he hasn't biked at all. His race to lose.
coach moving very well on the bike.
Al, you're right, Alexander seems to have played the cards perfectly in this race.
Yes great bike split by coach P.
Coach P 5:01 off the bike - incredible! There is the fact of the North winds blowing today, though, which definitly helped out on the bike course (the last 50 miles is heading south, thus with a tail wind when there is usually strong head/side winds).
I have to give Universal Sports credit. They have rasied the bar with this live coverage of this race.
Coach P is right on track 7:51's for the first 5 miles, his race plan noted 7:45's.
Chrissie Wellington is otherworldly - 22 down to Dibens, and 11 minutes down to Steffen at the start of the run, and she'll be in the lead shortly. And she's keeps gaining time on Carfrae.
@ Kevin , I agree a 1 hr swim and a 5:17 Bike is strong!!!
