Thanks for all the insights. Halfway through week two and my legs are definitely feeling it! Looking forward to some stretching tomorrow.
Regarding what Rich mentioned about each workout being scheduled for a particular reason...Due to my work schedule, the only workout I can guarantee to get in is a before 5am. I am hesitant to get up much earlier than 4:30 as my job can be physically demanding and I don't want to crash later in the day. To follow in the evening with a run Tuesday, even at Z1, I'm concerned about hitting my paces on the Wednesday morning run, perhaps less than 12 hours later. Any thoughts?
@Shawn: in a couple weeks (maybe after Thanksgiving ) I plan to figure up the Mother of All Body Comp/Core/Strength Training (that won't impact bike and run) groups. Call it something like Coach Dicks Pink Speedo Brigade . We'll create some good accountabilty systems around this topic.
@Claire: Do what you gotta do to preserve the Wed run, to include skipping that Tues run and/or moving it someplace else. Hit us up in the Micro Thread if you need advice on how to do that.

Ditto to Shawn- I'll be starting my second OS in January....maybe December...after I nail Philly Marathon using the HACK....my plan was to focus on Bike and Body Comp (run takes care of itself for me)....but have really stayed away from core strenght as I always feel the it has negatively impacted the rest of my training more than it helped....I am anxious to see what you cook up COACH R...BRING IT.
