Week 7 of my super secret double diet plan and things are going well. Weight today is 277.2 down 1.2 form last week and 7.2 overall. Still holding at a 650 cal/day deficit (2300 cal baseline) as I was getting a little hungrier and seemed a little more tired last week so though I would give it another week at 650. Also had a little bit of a higher cal weekend with my sons birthday and a couple of night out with my wife. But i needed the SAU's and the food was good quality, not junk, except for the cheese fries. But what can you do.
Kevin, No running allowed yet but hopefully soon. PT said may be able to start running when can walk 30 min pain free and I'm there. Also doing my homework every day. Lots of leg lifting in strange angles and work with the PT ball. I would like to be back running in some way, shape, or form by early to mid March.
Another week another weigh-in. Today am at 276.5. (-0.7 for week and -7.9 overall). Belt in in another notch and clothes are a little less snug. Last week felt great. Not tired and recovering as well as expected given work load. So dropping my base intake another 50 cal to 2250 cal for a total deficit of 700 cal/day. Will re-calculate BMR after a 10 lb drop so getting close. Also scale is acting up again so definitely will get a new scale this week. All in all feeling pretty good with progress. Would like more but steady as she goes and happy with the trend. Also had another date with my wife Sat that included dinner and move. Planned out day and all went well.
Well a little late this week but with work and life I have barely been able to log on much less make entries. SB Sunday went well. I did have Buffalo Chicken Tenders but made them at home. Still high cal but better than getting them out. I also had some cheese fries (don't tell Chris H) but again homemade with low fat cheese so bad yes, terrible no. I also burned ~ 1300 extra cals on the bike so the day was a net wash. Since Sun though no workout due to rain, life and work but hanging steady on the diet. Finally got the new scale and it reads ~3.5 lbs higher than the other so weight is back up. ARRGH!!!! But the new scale gives me the same number rather that giving the appearance of a random number generator. Also clothing is fitting better (read looser) so I know that I am losing and having a reliable scale will help. So I'm in at 279lbs for the week, total lose is hard to quantify but if I add 3.5 to starting weight I get a total loss of 8.9 lbs. My base calories is 2250 with a 700 cal deficit. Still felling great though a little tired this week but I think that it is the 12-14 hours days. If all continues to feel right I will push up to 750 deficit next week.
Well folks this last week has been a struggle. Multiple soccer games for kids (I'm coaching 2 teams) due to playoffs, 2 birthday parties, and the like lead to me making some poor food choices. I logged all calories and was never more that 200 cal over my daily requirement though so was expecting to be roughly the same weight. Boy was I shocked to see 281.3 lbs today for an increase on 2.3 lbs. WTF. Cloths still fitting looser so maybe muscle? New scale has hydration level and BF measurements which have been stable at ~ 55% and 25% all week.
