My condolences to you and your family Matt. I followed the fight you fought for her life on Cambridge. It sure made me think about the struggles you two went through and I sent a few prayers your way as well. The prayers will continue for you as you lay her to her final rest, for you and your family. You have awesome strength Matt.... God Bless
Matt, I can find no words fit to say. My heart is broken for you. My deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. I wish you continued strength and peace.
Your post about Sandra's death is brave and valiant. It comes through as honoring her incredible battle. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss words fail. Please accept my deepest condolences and wishes for peace and grace to guide you through.
Matt, I was out of town a few days but wanted to offer my deep condolences here.
I know you made a reference to Apollo 13 above. What I remember most from that movie is that when things were looking bleakest Gene Krantz said "with all due respect sir, I believe this is gonna be our finest hour". While this didn't turn out the way everyone hoped, I do feel that you and Sandra both fought the good fight and did everything you both could possibly do. The strength and grace and endurance you both showed over 6 months were inspiring to all of us and made it your finest hour.
I mentioned I spent some time in the hospital ICU this Spring when my Mom had a heart attack. I saw too many Code Blues and saw Families in great grief and relief. I am still grappling with it a bit. So my heart goes out to you Matt. I believe Sandra is at peace and I hope you will find peace too with a bit of time.. It's an honor to be on the team with you.
My deepest sympathy and condolensces to you and your entire family. Loosing my wife in October 2011 to cancer, I know of the physical pain, the anguish, the numbness and lack of reality along with many other emotions that one feels when one looses a loved one like this. My prayers for comfort, understanding and peace are with you.
