Thanks Trent for the info. I sucked it up...sorta. I did walk a bit but my overall average of the Z1 interval was within 3-10 seconds of my predicted pace. Surprisingly...my legs feel good today (Monday).

I think my head might be slightly ahead of my body here because I don't really even feel that bad. I do however have a small but certain gut instinct that sent me straight into an ice bath yesterday after the brick and said "Don't bother" when I woke up this morning and thought of running.
Suzanne, you are smart for taking a break. You should always listen to your "little voice" when it tells you something. It's rarely wrong. It's taken me a while (and several bad workouts and/or injuries) to finally accept that truism for myself.
