The Nov OS iPod mojo playlist
Hey, gang!
If you're like me you rely heavily on your iPod (or favorite MP3 player) to help get you through those tough bike and run sessions. And, if you're like me, you're always on the lookout for new tunes to keep things fresh and give you that little bit of extra mojo to battle through those super-hard intervals when you need a boost. So I figured we could share some recs for our "go-to" songs when things get tough.
Here are a handful old faves and recent additions that get me amped up:
- "Killing in the Name Of" Rage Against the Machine
- "Battle Flag" Lo Fidelity All Stars
- "Push the Tempo" Fat Boy Slim
- "Boom" Bloodhound Gang
I've also been into Bhangra/DJ/Dance music lately for those longer 85% intervals and EZ pace runs.
So...what gets your blood pumping? I figure we could all use some new mojo tunes for the Saturday bike workout!

Great thread. You should get a lot of good entries here. Looking forward to some suggestions. At the top of my list is just about anything by Soundgarden, especially the Superunknown disc. But, above all others is "Rusty Cage" off their BadMotorFinger album. If you can find a live version from around '91-'92, even better. I plan to have it looped on my iPod in the hour or so leading up to the swim start at IMLP. Perfect combination of driving guitars, pounding drums and rev-it-up lyrics.
* Horseshoes and Handgrenades - Green Day
* True Believers - Bouncing Souls
* The Boogie That Be - Black Eyed Peas
* Body Movin' - Beastie Boys
