  • @ shaughn - I will for sure drop by Austin sometime. riding out in that areas hill country can never be bad for me!

@ Gordon - Sorry to hear you blew up but you know you went for it. I feel like i left some in the tank this test and wished i would have pushed a little more to prove it.
  • Before I fade on the OS and start thinking about transition and HIM race prep I just wanted to take a moment to collectively thank the entire Nov OS group for all the motivation, inspiration, laughs and fun over the past 20 weeks.

This was my first full OS and not only did I get fitter (more fit?) but I learned some valuable lessons about myself and became a better all-around self-coached athelete.  There were definitely some low points (e.g. a faulty PT had me thinking my FTP was higher than it really was back in December) and more than a few high points (e.g. felt like I had a real breakthrough with my running) but it was never dull. And whenever I was low on mojo or started to question my abilities the posts, feedack and encouragement from this group always saw me through.

EN is a pretty special thing and this group in particular is (as my relatives in the midwest would say) "good people."

So before I go getting all misty and sloppy I'll just finish by saying I'm looking forward to tracking everyone's progress and accomplishments this season and continuingg to share some laughs along the way (it is just a game, right?). I envision lots of PRs and collective crushing in the coming months!

Now it's off to Florida for a week of downtime with the fam.

    Be well!

    -Chris

  • Chirs,

I enjoyed going through the OS with you.  You made great gains, but most of all, you kept things light hearted and fun when we needed it.  Enjoy the time with your family and good luck racing this year.

    Dave

  • In celebration of finishing the OS I ran a mountain marathon on Sunday in Ronda, Spain. It was a very tough, muddy course. Here are a couple pics from the race:

Jay (who's recovering/transitoning for the next 2 weeks.) Gonna spend next week in Madrid visiting family.

  • Jay execllent race course.  I don't think muddy quite cover the description on that course.
