Lets take swimming out of the, er, water closet?
There is always a whole bunch of nonsense surrounding the "EN does not swim in the OS" thing. Well the OS is over and it is time to get back in the pool or if you have been in the pool all winter its ok to talk about again.
What is everyone's plan?
Any tips?
I have tried to go to masters at least once a week over the winter more for the social aspect than anything else. Will try to be focused about swimming at least 3 times a week from here on out. Aiming for 9k a week in the pool.

I read the Swim eBook, and with just a few technique tips, I am doing much better keeping up with the fasties at Masters. I've been swimming for years and have had lots of technique coaching, but no one had ever told me about the timing of the catch vs. power phase. Key for me. If you other EN newbies have not checked it out yet, definitely do it soon.
Totally agree with you. That Rich is actually a pretty bad ass swim coach and has put together a ton of materials on swimming [which he gives away for free] seems to get lost in all the noise about not swimming in the winter.
I have not been in the water much. Starting in December I have had a broken rib, MRSA, and now an ear infection, so only three times in the water in 2011. I am an EN newbie and just started swimming a few years ago so can use all the help I can get. I have not read the swim ebook yet but plan to do so soon. Hopefully I can rejoin the masters group next week.
Forms still needs lots of work for sure. If only I had a 50meter lap pool in my back yard...
