Had zero energy on the first half of todays ride. Stopped at Dunks, grabbed some caffeine and a wheat bagel. Felt much better on the second half. Got home just in time to find my wife about to bike...and of course she wanted me with her. Added a very easy hour to the workout...then a decent run. Early bike tomorrow...need time for mothers day.

Took 15 minute break then ran 4 miles. 8:55, 8:39, 8:33, 8:05...... 34:32 @ 8:33
Now I am tired......
80 miles Sat. 60 miles Sun. both solo. Legs, crotch, and mind pretty tired and sore by the end of Sundays ride. Can anyone please get the wind to stop blowing, for at least for 1 day ?
Week 1 in the books.
this is where things seem to go well, but then change quickly. as i'm about 10 min. from my turnaround point i start to bonk. not good--stop at the mobil, get some water, but there is no way my stomach will handle food. get an electrolyte water and take off again with the goal of making it home. trying to pedal and barely holding 60%. get about half way home and encounter a slight incline and my legs just completely lock up. i was lucky to get one leg unclipped so i didn't fall over. sat for about 10 minutes with my legs on and off cramping. call my wife--no can pick up she says because she's at a kids birthday party. start to get myself home with the pedals just spinning with around 100 watts on them. by this time i'm cold again because i'm coasting so much. make it home, grab some food and water, shower, lay on the couch. still ended up with .80 IF for 4 hrs with the last 1:40 at .60 IF. man that hurt. needless to say i didn't run.
trying to figure out the bonk. had PBJ english muffin 5 minutes before I left. 1 bottle of gatorade, another bottle of water and a nature valley granola bar. this should have fueled me for more than 3 hrs, wouldn't you think?
Still haven't tested outside yet. Not sure I can figure out how to 42' without a whole bunch of hills, traffic and crappy pavement..... I'll just keep putting the time in till I get to testing. Current setup is using my indoor FTP - before bike fit with Todd.
Tried a new route today, ended up being 76 miles. Took 4:20 @ 17.5 mph. NP - 164 (.764). Joule reports 4500' gain, 310xt says 2400' - so, which one is right? My guess is Garmin is a better estimate. Not sure how Joule guesses elevation gain....
Ten minutes after the bike I jumped on the treadmill. First 20' @ 8:34 then 7:30 (HMP) to finish 4 miles in 32:29 @ 8:07
Midway in my ride, I stopped to stretch and tinkered with my Adamo. Moved it forward and increased the tilt a little. Seemed much more comfortable for the return trip.
Really likeing the Infinite in my Speedfill. Easy to adjust for different length rides. Has worked great and no bonks in my last 3 rides totaling over 12 hours. Nutrition every 15 minutes, chase with water.
Looks like heavy rain tomorrow.... not looking forward to 3 hours of wet....
rainy condictions plus weather reports of more serious storms and my wife was headed to a party with my daughter equaled me on the trainer...My wife was worried about me being out on the road with no back up if something was to happen...
Solid 3:15 minutes on the trainer with a strong 25 minute run afterwards...legs were hurting...
Really missed being outside.
Overall ride 2:56; TSS 222; IF 0.874; 56 miles @ 18.9 mph;
First ride with my new Cobb V Flow Max. Had to stop and adjust after only 3 miles than another adjustment at 28 mile turn around. The second stop really helped a lot - the 30' intervals home were the 3 fastest and highest IF of the ride.
Dinner was ready so no brick when I got back.
Know I shouldnt, but missed the swim on Friday and did it saturday morning. 4100yds in one lane surrounded by screaming kids!
Got home and rode 4.5hrs for about 82miles @ .79. Still having trouble reading my LYC...ordered the Joule and cant wait for it to arrive. 25 minute easy run when i got home. Felt so so...
