Home OutSeason January 2011 Group Discussion-OutSeason January 2011

Now that the OS is over, what are you all doing?

I'm heading right into week #5 of the HIM advanced plan to prepare for Racine 70.3, my first HIM.

I'll be hanging out in the Summer HIM group and posting workouts if any of you want to join.

It's been really great enjoying the OS with you all and benefitting from the expertise and all the mutual support. This has been a year of firsts for me, including is my first year with power on the bike, the first year doing any cycling on the trainer, and frankly the first time I've done any doing any structured workouts or followind a plan at all, so it's been a great experience and I thank you all.

Cheers,

Matt

  • Hey Matt...really happy about the OS being over! It worked for sure....great plans. I am laying kind of low for the next 2 weeks then 13 weeks to IMLV. Like the late season OS/RACE
  • Short course plan (Week 8), preparing for AG Natl's in August. Looking forward to seeing all the JOS peeps crush it out there this summer!
  • Thanks for putting up the thread Matt! Finally watched Man vs. Food thanks to you.

I'll be onto the last 12 weeks of the Intermediate Ironman plan beginning on 06/06. This will be my official end to the January OS as I'm two weeks behind.

Best of luck to you all! JOS RULZ!
  • I'm flying out this Thursday to Omaha, NE to visit my daughter for a week. I won't have a bike for a week but I will do some running for fun and cont. with some pool time in between hitting all the BBQ places and the zoo. In June and July the HIMs will come way to quickly before getting to do IMC and Kona.

Like Jenn said, "Best of luck to you all! JOS RULZ!"

    See you in "OOOOH CANADA".
  • Matt, thanks for the post; and the great ride the other time.
