Snow! 39 degrees pre-race temperature! Cold Water! Difficult climbs! Altitude! Holy Smokes! Can't wait to see the race reports! They should be EPIC!!! Glad to hear Jennifer is relatively OK, too! Race On Team, Race On!!!
DNF @ IMLT. Not quite sure why, need to review bike power files, but suspect my dysphagia ( swallowing problems) inhibits my nutrition on bike, and also motivation (lack thereof) also contributes. Will ponder and share more later in the week
Thank you all for your support, that was an absolutely brutal course. It was compounded by my fancy Zipp R2C imploding with almost 50 miles to go. Ended up riding the rest with only the FD. What a doozie!
All the finishers today deserve major freaking kudos with most AG winners barely going sub-6 on the bike.
Sorry to hear about the wrecks and the DNFs, very tough day out there.
What a day, EPIC is a word that could be thrown around. Race reports are going to be interesting, possibly fun with Martis Camp and Brockway, 2x............Exceeded expectations.
EN teammates, thanks for the well wishes and comments! It was cold. We were lucky however that we did not race in Saturdays weather, most likely they would have cancelled the race altogether so yes, I think I will wear my medal for one month! Water was 59-60, air temp at start of bike was 28F. As coaches predicted it was almost impossible to open a gel, bar wrapper, etc. the race reports will be great, and other than the cold it was an EPIC course on an epic day. Beautiful views and EN'ers digging deep and getting it done! Glad to be part of such a great team.

hope all the bike non finishers are ok. epic day.
glad to see the tracker is lagging and folks are finishing.
Jen, so so sorry your day had to end that way. What a bummer, glad you are ok!
Steve Hall #9 in 40-44AG #63 OA 10:53:52 !!!!!! Way to go Steve!
Trevor Garson is in! Looked like 11:28 on the finishline clock. Tracker is lagging.
I have two buddies doing the race who are like 10 hour IM guys and one took 6:15 on the bike and the other 6:50.
I guess Whistler's reputation as the hardest North American IM bike course was very short lived.
