So sorry to hear that you're injured ... glad nothing more serious. You'll recover fully + completely. Safe return to Boston and please, keep us posted on your progress.
I am so sorry that this happened, and so thankful that your injuries will not require surgery. Now, sit back, relax, and let your body heal. That's your job now. I'm sure that with the discipline and focus that you apply to your family, training, building your business, and supporting all of us you will approach your healing and rehab with perspective and wisdom....and enough pain meds to make it all possible!
Wow...when I heard the news it was like a collective kick in the team nuts from Rich...a disturbance in the Force...a loss of Team Mojo! But seeing your post and learning that this is a temporary - but painful - setback has done much to get the Team's head back in the game. Everyone is pulling for you Patrick...get better soon! r/Paul
I am always the last to know. Coach P, I will send you all my good healing vibes. Crashing hard is no fun. Try not to sweat it right now. The recovery will happen. It just takes time and patience. Triathletes love a challenge and this is going to be another one for you. I hope you get better soon.
Coach P - Wow! That's a shock. I've been off the forums for a couple days... that'll teach me. So glad that you and Trent are (relatively) OK. I'm in PA so can't offer much help directly but have a lot of friends in the Bay Area and I'm certain they would be happy to help out. Please just let me know and I'll gather forces. All best wishes for a speedy recovery! Take good care of yourself... be sure to take all the time you need!
Patrick, so good to hear from you, that you are doing okay! I hope you heal quickly, and get to go home soon. I'm sure that's where you want to be right now. Loads of healing thoughts and vibes headed your way!!! Take care of yourself, and don't worry about the forums!!!
Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope your back home with your family or at least en route by now. Those collar bones HURT! - been there. So glad the team has been so awesome in Cali, but I can't imagine anything less. I hope you can take it easy and heal up well
Glad to hear you are on the mend and will be back to kicking ass soon. What some guys will do get out of doing workouts, lol I'm gald it wasn't any worse although i don't know how much of a deal a fx pelvis is. The stud you are, it won't be long before your back at it. I was hit twice last year and was lucky to only have some road rash so I hope your feeling better as the days pass.
Saw CoachP briefly tonight at Saint Carries house. He looked good. He was going to take his first shower in days and was getting himself around, very slowly. Doing a lot by himself. Saint Carrie said his mental attitude has spiked up since leaving the hospital. He has a wheelchair that Tom Glynn modified so he can get through the doorways at Carrie and Steve's, his arm is in a sling and he has bandages on his knee and elsewhere.
Saint Carrie is taking great care of him, EN NorCal has banded together to help out where we can so he is in good hands. But with that said, I bet he can't wait to get home to his wife and daughters.
Trent is doing OK. He's been riding and having fun. The rough road surfaces and descents are a little sore on the shoulder but otherwise he's OK.
Coach P is in good hands with Team Chavez and the NorCal team. Honestly, if something like this had to happen- it happened in the best possible place along the TOC trip. The NorCal team is simply awesome!!!
Thanks to all of you that are helping Patrick heal up. I think the culture of EN truly shines thru in situations like this and is a statement to what Patrick, Rich and the members have created here in EN. This is more than a tri-group.
What an outstanding group of people we are blessed to be associated with.
