  • Good with all that stuff (yes, Rich, I know you love dealing with ladies shorts).. for us lil peeps.... if there is any way (just a request if the option is presented) to get the inseam on the shorts to a 5" size? Not sure what style you are going with for LG but know their top of the line Pro series is like 8" inseam (think knickers on me or Nemo)

  • Thanks for considering adding the EN Chica Logo somewhere on the new kit.

Totally understand the inventory problem. Having dealt with a little of that for my own club, I really understand the minimum make-up headaches. My only request is to keep the colors as close to the current kit as possible. For those of us with $$$ already sunk into EN gear, it would be nice to not be able to use some of the older stuff we already own (i.e., I already have EN Arm Warmers I love and would really rather not have to purchase another set 'cause the current ones clash badly). Bonus- if the old stuff matches reasonably well, you are more likely to sell through the old inventory ;-)
  •  What Mark said.

And you said new kits?  WOOHOO!  And I am in for the visors.

But I don't see any pink speedos on the list.  Not that I would buy one.  Just sayin'.

Those pink speedos are ALWAYS available and will be on sale forever. Just lemme know when you warm up to the idea of sporting one of those beauties, Starkman, and I'll hook a brotha up.

  • @Nemo, sorry, this is a complete redesign, totally different look. You'll like it but I understand the dollas. We'll give you a jersey for the ToC (thanks!) so there's that.

@Kris, maybe you can go to the LG site and tell me exactly what model/type tri shorts you gals will buy?

I still have the spare 30's. At the rate John is going on his body comp, he'll fit in them in no time!
  • The LG fit kit is on it's way to me, I'll get it tomorrow.

I'd like to take the chick stuff and throw it out to someone to try on, will be shipped to you next day so I can close this out. Volunteers?

Hooking up the Capo fit kit today.

  • Me Me Me!!!!! I'll volunteer. Promise to post pics and everything so the ladies can see how it fits. I was gonna ask that you get a chica to weigh in on the fit of the kit. I figured you'd just use Joanne, but frankly, she's just a little too perfect to be a test model :-)

Ah...I forgot I have a woman in my own house , though she doesn't have any experience in tri kit so might not be the best feedback.

Nemo, can you hook up some Women of Variable Sizes (WVSs) to try stuff on with you? I do NOT want a repeat of the Sugoi size small debacle of '10. Thanks!

  • My range of sizes around here is probably limited to S/M.  Not many L/XLs around doing Tri's in this area that could give good feedback.

And hey- FWIW- I fully warned anyone that would listen to me that Sugoi runs small.  Heck, even I ordered a medium!

Anyway- fair point.  If another lady in the haus has friends that cover a good range of sizes to help with the fit testing, that would be a better option.

  •  Ha Ha!  WVSs!  Reminds me of ROUS's from The Princess Bride.

That's what I was going for, nice catch

  • Another +1 for a technical t-shirt. For whatever reason I just don't like running in a tight-fitting top. It just never works out for me. Do we know if Cafepress does tecnhincal T that don't suck? Like @Becky, I'm a bit of an Under Armour homer... their 'loose gear' is pretty nice.

  • Do you have/have you seen our current technical t's, by Race Ready?

The hard part about technical t's is dialing in the screening process on the fabric. RR has good material and have dialed in the screening process. I've used them for CF and EN gear for years.

No I've not see the Race Ready brand of Ts, but I will take a look! I know I need to get at least one of them! Will you get some with the new logo or is it a matter of using up the existing stock first? (Either way makes sense, just checking)

  • The current Technical Tee is great!

I'm not a fan of the cap, don't like the way it fits or the mesh siding.
  • Yes, we will do tech t's, pretty easy to manage as they are local to me and production time is 2wks vs 20 friggin' years for cycling/tri kit dorks.

I'll volunteer for the fit kit. If you need a bigger size, I'm sure I can eat a whole rack of ribs and several fruit tarts to accomodate.

@Rich-  Tri shorts- Women's  Delfino.    For the guys- the Tritech elite shorts are SWEET!  We ordered them for local club and the were very nice fabric and looked good on everyone.

    Thanks!

P.S.  I know M & I both bought bra top from old EN kit.  Don't remember seeing anything about more avail but would take another if you have inventory hanging around

I'm in if you need. 3 females of varying shapes & builds available.

  • I volunteer... I would probably want a S or M, but I have local tri club friends who are bigger/taller and a few who are athenas not to mention some who are half of my size) ... I am quite sure I can come up with folks to try on all the sizes and give me very good feedback!

As far as the test:  do you want us to simply try the kits on or actually go out and train in them to see how they perform (if they ride up, if they chaffe, etc), wash them, and send them back... I'm good for either.... and I'm sure I can round up some of my tri clubber friends to help out.

In any event, let me know and I can help... drop me a pm (bc I'm still not getting updates on forum threads).

  • Hey Gina,

I think I'll FedEx to them and you can bang it out over the weekend and flip it all back to me on Monday?

  • Late to the party.. Gina send us pics!!

well, me and my two GFs all have the sports bra. so we did our part ordering it and I liked it.

I have been wearing an XS mens bib and fitted jersey (mt biking kit) so I guess if we go with unisex that would be the option. Small on women's Sugoi or Kswiss.

ditto on the long inseam, even the 5" has to be turned up on the cuff.

nope I don't like bibs, they are hotter, yes I like full zipper though.

okay to go tougher looking. needs to be visible though for cars not to hit us.

Pockets need to be useful and hold something for tng. not teeny.

Kris, the Pro shorts (delfino) are 6.25" inseam!   and the other $$more are 7+".  our Voler are 5" and Sugoi shorty are what 3" or 4".  so will see....  on IMs it all comes down to comfort and function.

    ## edit:  I have looked at their website:  http://www.louisgarneau.com/us-en/product/305506/0825131/Tops/WOMEN_PRO_TOP

I like the cutaway tops, (but they have two side pockets and not one big one) the Pro and Comp style as that will prevent chafing (I hope_ when running) and I like the Motion Bra and the shorts seem long.

  • I'm tall-ish, and much prefer the short inseam shorts. Look better.

  •  I'll volunteer too, since I'm always an odd size.  I think, based on the fit guides, I'd be probably a L in the LG tri top.  I was actually considering ordering a men's size this year, since I seem to have a lot of trouble with the women's tops in general.  So if you want testers for that too...

  • Thanks, but I'm going to send everything to Gina. One FedEx label, quick turnaround, etc. We have a goal to get all of this done and orders in by Oct 31 so we can take advantage of some October discounts being offered.

  • excellent on the tech t's... haven't seen the current ones (didn't know we had them ... or I would have ordered).  FWIW, I know Under Armour can be printed on as I've started getting them at races with the race logo on them (Eagleman and Chessy Man this year for sure - both races are put on by Columbia Tri, maybe Vigo has an in with Under Armour... they are from Baltimore, after all).

  • The Ladies Fit KIt arrived today (along with treats for Indie & Belle, THANKS Uncle Rich!).

Fabric: Lightweight, breathable mesh. Finish shouldn't be "shiny"

Top: 3/4 length, recessed zipper. Large, single pocket in back. I am 36" in the chest & a large fit me comfortably snug. Susanna is 34" in the chest & the small fit her comfortably as well. The length however is another matter for her. In the small it barely covered her belly button ( she is long waisted).

I measured XL front and back:

Present kit : 18.5" neck to hem front/20" in back

LG kit:   17.25 neck to hem front/22.5" back

So, the LG top is longer in the back, but shorter in the front. No tramp stamp burns, but you better have the 6 pack ready.

Shorts: Fit true to sizing. I was comfortable in a medium. Tri pad was soft, not bulky. Inseam on a lg was 5", hit me mid thigh.

I can't imagine anyone in the haus needing an ex-small ( even Neems) & for our athena girls (trying to be diplomatic ) the XL top will be snug.

I have some pictures on my phone, but not sure how to load now that the icon is gone.

    Questions anyone??

  •  Gina- you can use the "Attachments" button below to get the pictures up.  If you can't figure it out just email me the pics and I'll post them.

  • Thanks, Gina. I was wondering if Susanna tried size M. Does it cover her belly button? I am 5'3", 117 lbs, 34" chest, and trying to decide if I need to order M instead as I don't want to show my tummy.
