  • btw, anyone who visits them, please say hi to Kurt for me, his an old friend from when we both sailed...

as a total aside, i think you will find him to be the kind of guy that Gleason was as well, hugely positve, helpful and if you get him out for a beer...

  • I know this is an old thread, but I am looking at doing PAPs virtual gait analysis, this is the kind of program I have been looking for, and I think it's the key to helping prevent more injuries once my PF heals. Thanks for all the great info everyone took the time to write, I feel like I have a good picture of what I am in for and I'm excited about it!! I will for sure mention all the kudos they have gotten here from EN folks, they'd probably like to hear about it. I'll come back with my feedback once I start the program for more testimonials to how it works. Curious to see how they do this all long distance, I'm sure the in person experience is fantastic, but they seem to also get great results from the virtual program. Fingers are crossed!!
  • Becky, keep us posted on how the virtual analysis goes. I'm about 10 months in at this point. I must admit that I have gotten lazy with my core and glute exercises over the last couple of months. BUT, I'm starting to finally feel like a 'runner' instead of just some big bulky wrestler that needs to suffer through the run leg to eventually get to the finish line. It was a very long process and I still have a long way to go, but I had no injuries this yr and recovered a lot faster after events and runs. I'll get a chance to test all this in 2 weeks when I take on IMFL, I'm excited to try to prove it now...
  • Don't get lazy John!! Especially after going through run jail and all that you had to get to that point- pick it back up in the OS, do it like it's your job!! I have done much smaller versions of this before, ( I have a great chiro that specializes in FMS stuff, but he is lacking the gait analysis so I have kind of gotten as far with him as I can) and the one thing I have learned is keeping you body moving well needs to be a priority. Now in return, I will need someone to tell me this as I'm crying in the corner while everyone else here is in the full on OS mode while I am in healing/strengthening mode... haha. Will keep you posted, sent them an email to request a payment plan since I'm broke and don't have the full payment right now.... trying different things to get my foot healed (besides being patient and waiting :-)) has strapped me for cash, but I really want to get started now so figured it could not hurt to ask. Being an injured triathlete is so much more expensive!!!
  • Boo!
Just asked to see if there is any EN discount and its a no go! So if I want it look like its the full 300 bus

Good thing Christmas is right around the corner :-)

  • @Scott-- Starting Dec 5th, they are going to be running their annual holiday sale. It'll either be 15 or 20% off (I can't remember for sure...) and I think it will run through Jan 5, 2013.

Was well worth it for me.

@Becky, you'll be happy to know that I'm doing more of these exercises now than ever before... I am determined to turn myself into a runner this winter.
  •  Alright I bought a VGA, completed all my videos and photos last night.

cant wait to here how bad my form/core is :-)

thanks for this thread and all the insight for our WSM!

  • OK Pap folks,

I did the VGA, got my results back (boy was that depressing) and have been following there plan for me including strength and flexibility training and of course Run Jail :-(

Because of peer pressure, Thanks Dusty :-), I am registered for the Charleston HIM on 4/20/13. With that in mind, I've got to start running again in the near future. I have put a e-mail out to Kurt, but was wondering what others experience/advice is?

    Thanks,
  • Hey Scott - wondering how Charleston went for you. I've been toying with giving PAP a try, but haven't pulled the trigger. How has it worked out for you?
