  • @Linda... I'm glad you had and improved nutrition experience.... Now practice , practice, practice.... 180cal per hr seems like its on the low side but it very individual and for your size that maybe the number for you.... Al Truscott tried to consume the newer higher recommended calories per hour based and didnt have a good experience ... He went back to what works for him @ a low to mid 200 calories per hour and he is larger that we are. I use a 4oz flask (smaller than most flasks) and I get 4 Powerbar Perform Latte gels in it and it last's 18-20 miles on the run..... I will also stick 1 extra gel in a pocket but usually just switch to coke when the flask is empty.

    ran for an hour and rode intervals on the indoor exercise bike for 40min.
    I am going to try and run for 5 consecutive days. I don't think that I ever have before. 3 down, 2 to go.
    The rain passed today and we went horseback riding. It is really pretty out here.
