    2/13 - not a great week. Up a lb to  165.2
  • 2/13 - 180.0. Will update the tracker tomorrow, out of town tonight. I'm getting pumped the closer we get. It's not just about meeting the standard, it's about exceeding it!!
  • Ski weekend did me in!
  • Ski weekend did me in!
Props to Katherine for posting this with no prompting from the admin!!! Now - get back on the horse!!!
  • Weekends are difficult for me as well. My weight this morning was actually 2.5lbs higher than on Thursday morning.

It's seems to be easier for me to maintain/drop weight during the mid-week because of my set work schedule. I wake up at the same time, eat lunch at the same time & get home from work at the same time during the week. The weekends, not so much and I tend to eat all day long.....

I'm interested to know what everyone's "trick" is for maintaining focus on the weekends??

I would also like some tips on this!
  • I find that trying to replicate the schedule as close as possible is very beneficial. Think in terms of a race. It's on the weekend, it's early and it is a fixed schedule. If you body begins to fall off the rails on the weekend, sleeping in late, diet, etc. come race day it will be a shock. I'm a creature of habit, so I like to keep consistency in training times. I also like the feeling of grinding early on a weekend morning for two reasons - my competition is sleeping in so I am motivated to work harder and by the time all the training is done, I have the rest of the day for family - big SAU plus!! Just my 2 cents!

Me being sick has been quite the challenge.  I decided to go to urgent care yesterday to get more antibiotics - as I am now totally sick of being sick.  I hope to be able to get back in the pool tonight or tomorrow.  I have not been able to breath out of my nose for weeks.  I pretty much force myself to keep going.   If I am not better in another day or two the doctor at urgent care said I should get a chest X-ray.
  • @Mark - I have the same problem.  Wednesday is usually my lightest day.  Even if I manage to stay within my caloric budget, I usually eat heavier foods on the weekend.  Eating salads onot the go with the family typically doesn't work out well.

Eating a lot of fiber helps.  Fiber one and raisin bran are a daily staple, either for dinner or afterwards.

My biggest hurdle is that the I am out of run jail and working the weekly milage back up.  Working on body comp without running has been a real issue this go around.

  • Finally got a "handle change"!  Woohoo!!!
  • On track at 179. Nice work @John Withrow!
  • Not a good week for me: 165.1 I was able to turn the trajectory around this weekend to avoid a picture posting punishment.  Though just barely. 4 weeks to drop 5 lbs.  This is dooable.
  • 170.4 lbs.  Same as last week.

Fortunately, I have lost over 4 lbs so far, but unfortunately I fell behind for the first time (0.6 lbs) after being away all week with my kids for winter break.

Next week I have a three-day conference with lots of client dinners.  I am in trouble...
  • 147 - I am feeling better from being stupid sick.  I was able to breathe enough this morning to do a mile on the dreadmill.  I hope to have a kick ass week!
  • I had a much better week this week playing catch up.  At 163.9, I'm still behind, but I made up some ground.  Can't say it was a fun week, but at least no spikes on the grumpy scale from the family.  Weight was up and down over the week with a low of 163.3 last Wednesday. That should put me in 162 territory by this Wednesday and possibly caught up by the end of the week.

Hugh accomplishment for the week: 30+ cases of Girl Scout cookies arrived in the house last Saturday.  To date, I have not eaten a single one.
  • Well, I forgot to weigh myself this morning. :-1: I'll report tomorrow.

@Phil Mills - good for you!
  • @Phil Mills way to go stay strong and battle. My weigh in is on Tuesdays so tomorrow I am hoping for some catch up myself ... can't get ahead of the line and time is ticking lol

i just have to get within striking distance ...
  • 169.6.  Up slightly week over week after a work trip to Las Vegas and five client dinners.  0.9 lbs above my tracking weight of 168.7 lbs and 2.6 pounds above my target of 167 lbs.  I am lucky to be this close, as I was up to 173 lbs when I returned Wednesday night...
  • Taper week last week, so I did not see as much progress as I had hoped. As of 3/6 177.2

  • Looks like there are three in our group who are at or below their weekly goal.  Kudos to you guys.  Time for the rest of us to step it up.

Been a rough couple of weeks playing catching up. 162.5 for this week, which still has me .9 short for the week, but further along from where I was two weeks ago.

I've learned that I can sustain a 2 lbs per week weight loss and still hit the OS wko's, for about two weeks.  This is week three and the wheels fell off over the weekend, as no wko's were accomplished.

2.5 lbs to drop in 2 weeks time.
  • I did get a chance to weigh myself, but I haven't been on here yet this week.  Bad! A lot has happened.
Anyway - I gained 2 lbs. last week.  Too much beer probably. This frustrates and also motivates me.  While I have only lost a couple of lbs since the start, I do look thinner.  Not sure what's going on.  Even a friend commented to me that I looked like I lost weight.  I was able to fit in to one of my old pairs of jeans too.
  • Big Bike Week just completed. TSS of 1100 in 6 days lead to a loss of 2.1 pounds. Yeah!
  • @Peter Greagg - Great work on those 2.1 pounds.  Hard earned victory.

Body comp was my biggest success this week.  Check in weight is 160.7, for 1.8 lbs lost this week.  This puts me in negative territory for the first time and only .7 remaining to meet my goal.  Hardest three weeks this OS.

  • Pleasant surprise this morning. Goal met. Time for a bonus pound by Monday.
  • Well ... ugh, 228 and lost pace ... I'll get my fatty photo up tomorrow ... even though behind, I am proud to be down 21 lbs and shopping for jeans ... since mid Nov I'm -41 ... I'll subject myself to some ridicule but have made HUGE progress in the program.  Thanks for keeping me motivated.

    Marc
  • ... as promised ... shamed but happy!
  • In at 174.4#. Took some extra work and focus the last 10 days but so worth it!
  • 197.5.  Under by a half a pound.  This was one of the hardest weight goals to meet with ~2.5 weeks of zero workouts near the end, but got super strict on the food intake and got 'er done.

Nice work Marc, 22 lbs is awesome!

Way to hit those goals Phil, Jeff, & John!

I'm with you guys...the last few weeks was tough.  The past 10 weeks is the longest i've been (mostly) strict about my diet in a long time and I saw some good results as well.  Weighed in at 178.1 this am, .9 lb under my goal.  I have the pic to prove it, if anyone has any doubt.
